What TM can I find these air seats in?

I thought about putting a smaller steering wheel in mine just for that reason. It has air assist steering, so it wouldn't be a big deal. Just hope it never goes out!

What TM can I find these air seats in?

Nice, thanks. Did not know about that section. So is there a functional difference between the HEMTT and an MK48 as far as the seats are concerned? How'd that go? I just picked up a pair. One of the seat belts is cut and the air lines were all cut when the seats were removed (falsely...

    2016 Haspin rally, June 8th-12th, info/discussion thread

I'll aim to be there! Bobber should be good to go by then.

What TM can I find these air seats in?

I think they were for an MK48, but I'm not familiar with the 5-ton and up vehicles. Could someone please point me towards the TM for these seats? Appreciate it.

    WMO users in Ohio?

Don't get discouraged yet. I really like the idea. I have a hundred things going on at once right now, but I'm willing and able to help you with this. :-) Maybe we could do a little more parts research and shoot for a build meetup in March/April?

    Jackstands?

    I like Hank's method.

    WMO users in Ohio?

I use 3/4" camlocks on my portable fillrite pump. But 2" on my IBC tote since it has a big drain on it and I picked up a 2" fuel hose for free. Adapters are cheap. This "hobby" depends more on adapting what you have than designing from scratch. Personally, I would wait til the end for...

bought mrap wheels and tires but have different lug pattern

I'd use a magnet, but that's just me. :-) I have the aluminum MRAPs. Can someone confirm the weight difference? I've heard 62lbs lighter than steel of the same size.

I like both ideas. And camlock fittings are great!

If you're feeling fabby, try out an air suspension. Report back with results.

bought mrap wheels and tires but have different lug pattern

Hmm not sure I understand then. Mine are also 10 lug. But I was under the impression that the Budd system was a way of tapering holes and using a proprietary inner and out lug nuts to make the wheels stud-centered. The inside pattern on an adapter for a deuce will be Budd, but the outer on...

bought mrap wheels and tires but have different lug pattern

Ouch. Did you get suckered into buying these from someone who didn't tell you that you'd need adapters? Lame. I just got my MRAP wheel adapters finished. A buddy of mine cut them on a water jet. Expect to pay anywhere from $300-$800 for a set depending on material choice, machine selection...

    WMO users in Ohio?

I believe they also did this in medieval times to dump over the walls on the heads of enemies. Lol, I'm envisioning a witch's cauldron.

Did the Army have skid mounted centrifuges?

For the life of me, I swear I've seen gov surplus skid mounted centrifuges, but I cannot seem to find them now on a google search and I don't know if they had an M-series number. I keep running across centrifugal pumps, but that's not it. Help?

    WMO users in Ohio?

Oh, I know what you meant. By helping to build it, I meant I would agree to co-op. It would be nice to find another participant or two before committing though. How big of a unit are you thinking? Something we can load into the bed of a pickup truck that plugs into 120Vac? Or something...

    WMO users in Ohio?

Centrifuge is the best, but has arguable diminishing returns because the high setup cost isn't worth the gains in filtering quality. A co-op resolves that. I like the idea. How about if you buy the setup and rent it out for a month? I could help you build it.

    WMO users in Ohio?

I'm interested, but I'm only here for the next 15 months. Tipp City (80 miles away). I'm working on building a collection trailer (also in its infancy). I have a 300gal tote and some pumps and plumbing that I want to rig to a skid unit on my M116 chassis. More importantly, I'm a masters...

Looking for original Army multifuel research

Thanks for this! But it looks like many of Jhanananda's links are broken and there isn't quite enough of a description on some to be able to google search the articles. Seems like a lot of potentially useful research though. Got any updated links?

Photos of combustion chambers & injectors from 2 engines running WMO

gimpy, this is an outstanding find. I just posted a thread in the alternative fuels section asking for research just like this. Do you have any more? You'd be hero status!
