    Choosing a Generator

If you want a screen you can add this to an 802 and it's almost like a screen: https://www.steelsoldiers.com/threads/mep-8xx-wifi-2-wire-remote-start-parameter-monitoring-system.190193/

    Choosing a Generator

I was looking kholer 14resa generator as that would be a good backup source for my solar. I started to look at the MEP 802's and 803's and decided that would be a better way to go. A 802 will use 1/3 the diesel compared to the kholer in terms of propane at a 5K load. With propane due to...

Using a MEP generator to charge your EV?

I haven't seen a USA EV that can support > 277v AC when charging. AC charging is based on the onboard charger that is build into the car. Older Tesla's could charge up to 19.2kW (80 amps, 240 volts), current Tesla's can charge at up to 11.52kW (48 amps, 240 volts). Car's like the Nissan...

Using a MEP generator to charge your EV?

EVs normally won't let you drive while they are plugged in. They will make you remove the plug before being able to put the car into drive. (You might be able to fix this with via making a software change). Some EVs have a range extender that will charge the battery as the car drives such...

    Inflation and MEP replacement parts

Most lithium for cars are extracted from water via pumping into pools and letting the water evaporate. https://www.newscientist.com/article/mg22830430-300-lithium-dreams-the-surreal-landscapes-where-batteries-are-born/ In any case we will see lithium minded in the USA soon possibly by other...

    Purchased a 2004 Fermont MEP-802A 5kW Generator Set mounted on a trailer.

New update, the exhaust will have to replaced from the headers back at ~6K. The parts are on national backorder with no eta. I don't want to have to pay for storage of the generator with https://www.govplanet.com/. I have upgraded my steelsoldiers, and will post in the classifieds see if...

    Purchased a 2004 Fermont MEP-802A 5kW Generator Set mounted on a trailer.

Insurance is going to cover all but $250 in terms of the repairs. Going back to the dealership will get me OEM parts. I almost had my brothers friend agree to take the 10k one off my hands for my auction costs. (he would have then picked it up). I think that the 5k one would be the best fit...

    Purchased a 2004 Fermont MEP-802A 5kW Generator Set mounted on a trailer.

It has been dropped off at the dealer. Insurance should cover most of the costs.. I need to get it back as I have the 2nd one to pick up in NJ: https://www.govplanet.com/jsp/s/item/6696657 ( I didn't expect to win any, I would have been happier with just one).

    Purchased a 2004 Fermont MEP-802A 5kW Generator Set mounted on a trailer.

The 9/16 K20 Chevy pickup lug nut worked great! I just had to air up the tires. I aired the tires up, the hubs stayed within 5F of ambient. The magnet mount lights worked fine. I haven't messed with the missing stud. The only issue on the trip was traffic and at the hotel last night in CT...

    Purchased a 2004 Fermont MEP-802A 5kW Generator Set mounted on a trailer.

Jeepadict, Thanks for the advice. You have made the wheel stud sound like so much fun I will forget the idea of fixing the wheel stud for now. I don't even own a #4 Philips. I now have ordered 5-pack of Apex 484 Phillips #4 Head Bit 7/16" Hex Drive. (I have a 7/16 hex adapter for my 1/2...

    Purchased a 2004 Fermont MEP-802A 5kW Generator Set mounted on a trailer.

Thanks for the help. I have picked up 3 lug nuts and a wheel stud. I agree with your thoughts on the quantity of the lug nuts it makes total sense. I just rather not have to talk with a DOT person about the wheels. for $15.05 it's worth having the I have an air compressor impact wrench...

    Purchased a 2004 Fermont MEP-802A 5kW Generator Set mounted on a trailer.

I am going to attempt to tow if from VA to Maine in a couple of days. https://www.govplanet.com/jsp/s/item/6548714? It looks like it's short two lug nuts and a wheel stud. Does anybody know the specks of the wheel studs and lug nuts? Hopefully, this is something that I can pick up at my...

    803a fuel level sender

You might have the wrong part. The tank has two level sensors. One for the % full and one with two floats, this controls the aux fuel pump to stop it from putting more fuel in when it's full and to turn off when it's about out. Please take a look a the parts diagram.
