    Frequent Break Downs

It's the sitting that kills them. All the seals rot out. In the civy world these motors run everyday with a million miles on them with no problem.

Jeeps and others after WW2 pics

They probably became some of the first Hondas.

What have you done to your 5 ton this week?

Got my Grote Led tailights installed. Big thanks to mwmules and gimpyrob for all the help. I was going to paint them "383" but I think I'll keep them tan.

What have you done to your 5 ton this week?

Installed my new to me data plate above the steering wheel, thanks to 86humv for finding me a nice one and getting it to me quick. Got the clear led's into the warning light cluster. Also put a spring so that when the emergency shutoff cable is pulled it will return back when I push it back...

What have you done to your 5 ton this week?

Installed my mrap mirrors, fender antenna mount, and my bedside antenna mount with offset bracket. I sell the offset antenna mount kit in the classifieds if anyone is interested. Went to car show and took home first place out of three in the military class. It was a good day.

Thanks again Mark for the tip. I also picked up a set of pioneer tools for my hmmwv rack, and some very large NOS shackles with 1 3/8 pins for $10 a piece.

What have you done to your 5 ton this week?

Picked up a S250/G shelter to place in the bed of my m923 as a mad max camper. My buddy Jeff came over with his truck to help get it out of the trailer. It's good to know someone with a hemmt.

    Picked up another S250/G shelte

My buddy Jeff and Ray came over with his hemmt to help me get it off the trailer and onto a couple furniture dollies so I can roll it in and out of the garage to work on it and paint. Hopefully he will come back over when I'm done to put in the back of my 5 ton.

    Picked up another S250/G shelte

Ever since I sold my last S250 I wanted another one. Picked up this one near Ft. Hood for what I thought was a good price. Thanks to Mark Cohen for the lead on this one. Pretty good shape. Has a couple holes in the roof and a small one on the side that need to be patched up. After I patch the...

    Abs fuse "BLOWS".

I unplugged the abs module (that thing is a pain in the arse to get too) and replaced the blown fuse again. Climbed back up in the cab and flipped the switch and the fuse didn't blow. So I'll be ordering a new abs module from the classifieds. When I get it in and plugged up I will update the...

    $92 shutterstat fan clutch actuator

Finnally ordered one of these from this company, very easy transaction and quick shipping. Just needed a couple of fittings to space out the stat about an inch and a 90 degree elbow cause the air inlet is in the front instead of on top. The air outlet is now on top but the hose is long enough to...

How to remove melted piston from turbo housing

Muriatic acid melts aluminum. We use it at work when someone sinks a steel collet down in aluminum, eats it right off and dosnt harm the steel. Maybe you can soak it in that.

Nhc 250 cummins pt pump rebuild shop

It was the injection pump. I am not an expert but I believe I heard the words "fuel or throttle leakage". Will let them know that the truck would die when coming to a stop. Whatever they did it worked.

Nhc 250 cummins pt pump rebuild shop

It fixed all the issues the truck was having. The truck no longer dies when I come to a stop, starts on a dime, and has good acceleration (for what it is).
