I ended up replacing the hardware with new screws and self locking nuts. Worked for me. So many options....it's your truck though. Any way you choose, pretty easy fix.
Saw an M 1008 on GL last year up in Alaska that had a winter cammo paint job. I might have some pics on my laptop at home. I'll look tomorrow. it looked like they painted over the brown and black bits.
The brush guard looks like a mod'd 1st gen Cucv. The CUCV3's, (four door Tahoe's) are a little different and bolted to the top of the bumper like the Suburban in question.

This is very true. I am no electrician by any means. Upon further review of my information and looking through my pre-x bin, I used one 330 ohm, 1/2 watt 5% tolerance resistor. ********* My apologies Marcus. *************
Ditto, I've had the tank out of my current M1009 twice. The biggest pain is having to cut most of the carriage bolts off the bumper to remove it. Unless the tank has been off the truck "recently", a grinder may be required. LMC carries a carriage bolt kit for the rear bumper.
