Original gauge is electrical not a mechanical one. Maybe the previous owner had a non working original and just replaced it with one he was sure of. And also having one to look at when your working on the engine is a plus.
Drivers side body mounts are inside the frame on the mb, outside on the cj2. Inside brackets are on the cj2 so they can be swapped for a mb body. Rear shocks are vertical on the mb, angle to the front on the cj2.
bearing
Found it. The original is the one on the left in the second picture. Same as the new one for the M43. The old bearing from the cdn reads Aetna A-893-14
I could be wrong but I think the same one fits both models. I looked in an old vpw catalog from 2005 and it said same for all models. I just put a new bearing on my old sleeve. And I do believe that I got it from VPW. Anyway a new bearing I have says Aetna 2256. And I couldn't find the old one...
The yellow military airplane ( I think it was a T6- Texan) flew low down the center of Cedar Lake around 11:30. He stood it up on the right wingtip and I thought he was going to do a barrel roll. He straightened it out and then flew east towards Lake Huron. What a show!
There was a big turnout...
I'll be there saturday. If anybody has m37 parts needs let me know, if I have it I'll bring it. Also I have a Myers aluminum top and a complete plow setup for a CJ2.
