For about $140 plus s&h you can get 100 sq ft of FAT MAT to put on the inside of the truck. PLUS I also used it to quiet the clatter of the 6.2L engine. Here's a thread I wrote about doing that first. Then I would put either carpet or rubber flooring (my first choice)...

I live in Keller, Tx and own an M1009, M1028A2, an MKT75A and an MEP003 on a M114 trailer and insure of them them through Gulfway, all for about $450 a year (insured value of the four vehicles is $15k). After three vehicles, they start giving ME a discount on all the insured vehicles.
All...
Got your email and answered it tonight.
If it IS your fuel pump, you can mount the electric diesel fuel pump up under the PASSENGER SIDE frame rail, as there is a section of rubber hose that you can remove and then put the fuel pump there.
Here are a couple of pix I had on one of mine a few...
I'd like to add my welcome as well. If you are ever up near DFW, give me a shout. I'll by lunch/dinner if you have the time. Or come over to my place.
Again, welcome to the green iron disease!
I've added this event to the MVCC 'When/Where' page - that's our calendar of events and we will discuss this at the Jan & Feb club meeting. This could be loads of fun.

M,
I have a military tow bar and IF NECESSARY, we can drag it over to my place to work on it. I have enough extra room for another Blazer, as long as it doesn't stay here forever.
Plus, according to B, it sounds like your IP is going bad. IF that's the case, contact these guys...
Contact me. Bring the M1009 down to my place in Keller and you can compare yours to mine. Other than needing a brake job, mine is working fairly well.
I would be glad to help you trouble shoot your vehicle. We also have a couple more CUCV owners in the club. We could all help. Drop me...
gimpy,
HERE is a picture of a MODEL I took at a modelers show, by a guy who built a diorama of that scenario.
NOTE THAT PICTURE IS AT THE BOTTOM LEFT
You think WE'RE ANAL with our attention to detail on our vehicles? Not as much as these guys.
These modelers take anal to a whole new...
If you got the money, I'll wrassle ya for it. Of course, one man's fair price is another mans 'I can't afford that'.
So lets see what the guy wants for it. Then we can talk about it.
Sandcobra,
For that cover, go to GMA Covers - http://www.gmacover.com/
Go to Protection Technologies - NSN Search Catalog - about three quarters down that list, near the bottom, look for M101 - M101A1 - they have Tan 686 covers listed. It's right after 'medium truck' in the middle column...
And being it's both a MV and a heavy 4x4, it would be a great addition. Just gotta get it down here.
Gman, I replied first, so let me have first shot, OK? Hopefully see you tomorrow and we can discuss this one. j

cliffyp,
Actually, FMV bumper numbers are $10 a year ($50 for five year period that is starting over again in 2013). Plus if you go with the FMV (you can actually run plates if you want), you don't have to get it inspected either.
Here's my M1028A2 dually front and rear -
and my MKT75A...
Changing the battery cables is always a great idea.
Though moving them to the back won't make a whole lot of difference weight wise.
If you want to add more weight in the rear, consider adding a second spare.
I had an extra spare tire holder, so I cut it in four places and welded it up so it...
