@papakb In your very first post on this thread, how did you "gut" the military flasher? You dug that rubber square of potting out? How'd you break it free? I've ordered the Grote flasher and I'd like to replicate what you've done.

Ok, I bought Autozone green coolant 2 years ago when I rehab'd my coolant system. It's getting on time for a coolant replacement. Can you list any brand names of pink, nitrite based coolant that I can shop for? Or do they typically say "nitrite" somewhere on the jug?

This is really interesting. Two of you are saying that the NHC250 will run on alternative fuels. I had no idea. I'm not about to just start throwing MWO in mine but it's nice to know that it can handle it during an emergency. Do you guys have a recommended ratio of WMO: Diesel or WMO:gasoline?

Just keep working it with penetrant and channel locks gently. If all else fails, try to hit the threaded ring with a dremel and cut it on opposite sides. It'll break off and you can unplug it. Then order a new, empty canon plug and de-pin the old one and transfer the individual wires to the new...

That's cool that you managed to source the float. Little stuff like this is what helps amateurs like me keep the trucks running.

@Superthermal are you replacing the float or do you have some sort of trick for draining it and re-sealing it?

If you have an old M998, can you go forwards? Will the updated parts bolt up?
