What about putting seal protector on the seals & keeping the metal in a dry environment (the brakes don't hold water after it rains do they, I mean they drain like regular brakes, yes?), that should ensure no brake problems?

So how are the brakes on the M813? I have read a lot on here where the M35A2s have delicate brakes that can often fail. I thought the M813 might have a more robust brake system. Am I wrong in that thought?

Can you provide the make & model of your break tester? Definitely sounds like a "gotta have" tool in the Deuce tool box.

I had read somewhere (blasted failing memory) that a stack flap wasn't good of a Deuce & to leave the angled exhaust. I always thought flaps would be better (& they look cool) at keeping junk & rain our of the pipes. Also wouldn't need a soda bottle to climb up & put on to keep the junk out...
