Oh, my harness had a circuit for a "fuel pressure switch" I had to splice it or "jumper it" so the starter would work since the M35a2 has no fuel pressure switch..
Don't quote me but it was something like 78a 78b maybe 75a 75b on the firewall of the engine compartment.
Just swapped mine out last year. Was a few hours of work especially if you are like me and triple check everything. I just used zip ties to re-hang the new harness to the old mounts. So I cheated a little. Really is not that hard to accomplish using the wire diagrams. If you think about it not a...
I plan on using it to replace the air lines in my M35A2 when they go. Good enough for commercial rigs today should be okay for a truck designed 50 years ago.
I just truck around North America so "extreme temperatures are really not an issue"
Bring on the people debating the temperature ratings...
Nice score... Glad things worked out for you... Problem with this hobby is you can never just have one and there is always something to improve/wrench on.. Great times and lots of fun I predict in your future.
I vote for tan..
1. Get yourself a 12 pack.
2. Detergent wash truck with brush in all corners possible.
3. Go and chip, wire brush, flap disk sand rough spots and rusty areas. (use mask and glasses!!)
4. Repeat step 1 and let dry in sun.
5. Cover areas in step 2 with "rusty metal primer".
6. Prep truck for paint...
I used the paint gun below. Worked well and easy to use. Thinned the paint with water a little and shot. They are on sale now and then I think with my coupon etc.. I got it for around $70
High Volume, Low Pressure Spray Gun Kit
Here is a Tan from home depot I have used. Looks good I think.

If you wish to give yourself a little more piece of mind ask for a letter of coverage on insurance or see if they have a bond. Most reputable places are use to providing this information.... Never hurts to have this information for your files ;)
I am so sad that I can not help out. In the future I maybe changing a head gasket and need the exp. I might have a an extra few bows in Roseburg, OR. I have 2 crated M35a2 cover kits and one came with extra parts, I'll have to dig and see.
@mightymanx, what color are those M101 covers. I am...
My apologies for the hijack to the original poster... Guess us Oregon peeps are social butterflies.... Of course you couldn't tell it by the member map ;)
My father-in-law (red knight) and I always hit the Oregon coast around Florence each year. In 2012 we were going to try and do Eastern Oregon around Bend... Have to see what we feel like doing. (That is his ugly mug in the pic not mine) :)
But definitely be up for a rally (would be our first)...
My father-in-law and I are in Roseburg, Or. We have 5 M35A2 trucks one of them is bobbed. We cruise thru town every once in awhile... Good to hear another truck will be out and about...
(Picture is of us out buzzing past Fred Meyer's then off to lunch)
You can do it. We recently recovered from Roger in Ohio 3 M35A2 trucks all the way to Roseburg, OR...

Awesome trip.... Lots of fun..
I am trying to figure out where to start... The exhaust sounds like it is huffing at speed and idle. The sound is not a pop though. Engine runs fine and no vibrations. Anyone else have this before?
Thank you..
Not sure if I am going to be able to make it. I am here in Ohio with the wife who is stationed at Wright Patterson AFB. So most of my trips back to Oregon are to visit family and let them get their grandma and grandpa time in. Doesn't leave a lot of time to play trucks. However my father in law...
