iN WANTING TO BUY An older ROLLS ROYCE, i decided against it because the parts prices were unaffordable. It seems to me that Rolls Royce doesn't have spare parts, and that they make each part in the machine shop upon demand. So much for the high prices.
And here is the specification on that special nut for the power take off: SERRATED FLANGE NUT, 3/8 x 24. I also appreciate them in this case because I have big hands, and there isnt much clearnce to work with.
Hey fpchief, that power take off looks realy good. when I put one of mine back in, I used nuts that included a locking feature cast into the nut, rather than using a separate lock washer. I found it easier to work with

Hey another ahab, I am including images of the 3/8" Gr. 8 bolt and the two Gr. 8 flat washers that was used to fasten and center the tow chain together. Notice how these incredibly hard flat washers were deformed ! And the bend in the bolt! They received quite a jolt! Didn't they!
