well one reason i wouldnt is if you do alot of playing water can easly get in there and you dont want to be sucking water into your engine .. but thats my thoughts...joe

a 5/16th nut driver for the clamps and some elbow greese.. if you absoltly have to take loose the t-stat housing becarefull not to rip gasket . and be aware if you do take loose stat there well be alot of coolent everywhere . so have BIG drop pan,,

my coolent level is full. i changed the t-stat. massive coolent flowage. at radior cap level went down when i did so.. refilled coolent started let run stopped and topped off coolent ran up street awhile temp still high. and coolent level still up no loss out hole.im thinking on getting new...

ok i believe i need a new water pump i changed t-stat and still runs really hot around 200-235 also if you lok at pic i found a hole i didnt see before when i recovered the truck .. dont know how i missed it can anyone tell me if i change the water pump is that hole going to be a problem and...

welll guys i would like to say the info was helpfull and really dissapointed me in the process. why cause you all turned a simple mistake i made about the wrong hitting of the keys and a spelling mistake and turned it into a bash thread and everyone got all huffy on what they thought about the...

i would assume that there are directions on how to do the relining kits... ive never done and dont want to mees something up if i do this.
