Ok,
So I am about to make $400 from selling a guitar, and one of the things the money will go to is a body lift for the m1009. First of all, do I need a blazer kit, or one for a 3/4 ton pickup? Also, am I going to have to order any other parts for the drivetrain or steering system, or will I...
RE: Re: RE: door locks on m1008
Ya, I'm pretty sure that if you key says something like "for GM vehicles" it should fit any cucv anywhere. That way if someone lost a key they could just use another one.
Fixed it
I had hooked up the wrong end of the light blue wire to my switch aua
For further reference, the end that goes to the solenoid hooks to the switch.
So I just put a manual glow plug switch into my truck, but when I turn the key the wait light still comes on just like before.
I cut the light blue wire coming from the controller, wired the end that goes into the contoler into the switch, grounded the other side of the switch, and then left...
I also neglected one little bit of information. Around wednesday, I was driving, heard a clunk, but didnt thnk much about it. Later I noticed a small metal bracket had fallen from under the dash. Now there are some wires hanging freely near where the heater vents are. I don't think so, but...
Well, the newest adventure has started, and I'm going to the manual glow plug switch. I also am going to go ahead and replace my glow plugs. Since it's 35 degrees and it's not starting and I've started it at 15 degrees before, I'm pretty sure that some of the plugs are fried. It's either that...
If I'm not mistaken, the m1008 is a 1 1/4 ton truck. Just keep that in mind when you are buying your lift kit. CCATLETT44 has the 6 inch skyjacker lift on his m1008, and it looks great with his 35's.
Well,
The 4wd worked again today, so I think that I'm just gonna take it easy on the brakes. It seems like when I locked up the wheels wile going about 20 the noise started. I think that just messed it up and I'll just not stop hard if I can avoid it.
I was leaving my friends house today in four wheel drive when suddenly a strange and loud grinding came from somewhere underneath my 4wd selecter lever. I really have no idea what is wrong and any help from you guys would be greatly appreciated. One more thing, the street is a one lane, curvy...
On mine, I guess that the military salvaged my pintle hitch for another more complete vehicle, as when the former owner bought mine it also had no grille or brush guard to speak of. If you don't know how to, you can find what your truck looked like by just putting the vin into google, and the...
Been waiting to do that since I got my truck, only problem is that now the snow mixed with warming weather has kept everything muddy and nasty lately. As soon as summer comes you bet I'll be right there with you, in a theoretical sense of course. :D
Nice, if we ever got snow here I would put a plow on mine too, but we've had about 4 inches all year. I enjoyed the third video of you ramming snow at high speeds in close vicinity of a city patrol unit.
Just took a look at those nearly finished pics... AWESOME TRUCK! That is right up there with the "Trick My Truck" crowd. Good Luck finishing, and great job!
