The hose size is 5/16", but not the thread size. The standard fittings on the end of a -5 hose are 5/8". There is a check valve between the final filter and the IP, not just a connector - I wouldn't run without that. They are 37 degree fittings.

GA Rules FYI: If you drive a deuce in GA, you need a CDL. GA is different than most states in that if you have air brakes OR air over hydraulic brakes, you at least need a class A CDL.

Here's what they are Those appear to be wire tensioners - if you string an overhead line, the line slides between the two parts, and the more you pull the tighter it gets. The loop goes aroumd whatever holds up the wire.

Deuces in Georgia I just checked GA laws and a CDL is required for any vehicle with air brakes OR air over hydraulic brakes. I've never heard of it being enforced.

Is there any place like this in the southeast?

I've got the same one and towed it from MD to GA - not a pleasant experience. It tried to turn itself and my tractor over on a couple of interstates. Tow it slow, especially on even slight curves, it's top heavy.
