The wiring in mine was so neatly done I didn't want to modify it much. However, I noticed all the breakers are 400 Hz, so it's all been coming out. I'll keep the panels and switches (I love switches), add at least one 15 amp 120vac input for accessories, with a 2nd dedicated 15a for a 5000 btu...
Yours looks awesome inside, well done.
I purchased mine before I put much thought into use (buy first - think it out later), the use tends to find me. Right now it's stored on my HMMWV and I'm leaning towards removing all the 3 phase cabling and rewiring for 120v, while keeping the 28vdc...
Awesome, thanks. That makes sense as a week prior to buying the S-250 I bought an S-280 shelter with Fort Huachuca printed on the side. Both came out of Yermo, CA.
Seeing your photo inspires me to fabricate something for a TV and Cellular antenna. The truck looks awesome.
Thanks, looks like pump is clogged, can't blame that on the rats. :)
Removed one of the fuel lines at the pump and attempted a start, not even a dribble came out.
Rechecked fuel at filter/separator, it is clean.
Last time I changed filter it was nasty so I'm thinking enough bad fuel made it...
Great pics, what a sweet trailer.
If you are removing the aux box or even the mil connector outlets let us know, I'm starting a shelter/generator project and planning to put similar plugs in an exterior wall box.
So last week I was cleaning out my HMMWV (hadn't started it since 1st of month) and found a rats nest in the radiator box by the fan. Cleaned everything with compressed air and vacuum and went to start up vehicle. No go. Thought wire may have been chewed so ran through visually on all I could...
I can sit on my porch on any given evening and listen to the sounds of Union Pacific diesels climbing the grade to the Tehachapi Loop some 30 miles away. It's a beautiful thing.
I see 5-tons with historic plates driving through Kern County and I've seen an increase in on road HMMWVs as well. I'm having same thoughts that prices would be stagnant but that doesn't appear to be the case watching sales out of Yermo.
I have this M105 that I want to start using for hauling fill dirt around my land. Not wanting to make a dump trailer but I've gotta come up with a way to distribute dirt from the trailer to my roads. Current method is me pulling it with a HMMWV and then jumping in the trailer with a shovel.
