Yes, thanks from me too. I'm glad this was posted. My HMMWV is near identical to the 2nd one. No doors, desert tan, etc. I may add the cargo netting (my stuff has often fallen out) and a canvas top I can roll down the sides (like in the photo). When I got my vehicle the floor was covered in...
Getting the doors open works, getting past an open door won't. My current outdoor setup (up against a a shed) is tighter than that and I make it. Like you said, not much maintenance required.
Tach mount looks great. Nice work in the space of the battery box. Did you step down voltage to the rear seat 12v, connect it to one battery, or other?
Got to spend some time planning this weekend. I think movement will be good, especially if I apply your quick release technique to the side doors. Ventilation is going to require some testing. Front door is vented but not sure how much air will flow. Rear windows offer plenty and I'll likely add...
Discovered and cleaned a rats nest out of fan box today.
Rat jumped out when I opened the hood.
Now I'm trouble shooting a no start issue, chewed wire possible but nothing yet seen.
Cranks but no start or even smoke.
Batteries fresh
Glow plugs 3 months old
Ground harness installed

After spring cleaning my 803a and finding varmint nests (and recent rain after cleaning) I've began the process of moving it indoors.
I was going to build a structure but I have a spare S-280 Shelter that I think may be a perfect fit.
I'm seeking thoughts as to why this is (or isn't) a good...
That S-280 shelter looks great, I'll be painting one this summer and will show before and afters.
I've gone Harbor Freight for nearly all my sprayers, there's newer (more expensive) models now but have not tried them.
I painted several shelters and shipping containers using the KRAUSE & BECKER...
They look cool and I have a practical use (for me) so I took photos as well on previous visits. Since I didn't think they'd be available as is, I'm thinking to fabricate something I could make useful (deer/hog blind) using plywood and lexan. Hog hunting in a HMMWV just seems to good to pass up.
I was kind of surprised they are 14 gauge wire. When I get it back out I'll post close ups along with part numbers for the connectors and a wiring diagram for plug and thermostat.
