    A/c bracket

It's been a long time since I dealt you a mom joke.....glad to see you are still sucking air.

    No power at idle

No androids. Sounds like air in the fuel, or weak fuel lift pump. Replace the filters, make sure all seated correctly, replace soft lines on the suction side, then test fuel pressure after the lift pump. This will also tell you if the overflow valve in the injection pump is OK. Install a...

winter has ended, putting battereies back in five ton.

Ughhhhhh, how about a bar napkin drawing?

Coolant explosion on the M817 today

Could a blown air compressor gasket do this as well?

Are these XLs 14.00-20 or 16.00-20?

I'd venture to say that sand pic is worn down 16's. Sidewall looks same height as the pic just above this post, but with less tread depth.

Couldn't get 5-ton started on the trailer.

That's a good looking ride! Congrats, I'm jealous. Always liked the way that exact truck looks from the angle you took the pic. You did what you could to get the truck off the trailer. That guy did not want to be there all day not getting paid. It may need a starter or engine now, but at...

All 5-tons: Heavy Duty Torque Rod Ends

Cable, chain, anything. Mine was a 30’ tow / recovery strap left over from Jeep 4 wheeling. But I would think you could even use a ratchet strap without the winder part, as long as it was the 2” wide variety or more.

All 5-tons: Heavy Duty Torque Rod Ends

I’m just lazy. I prefer it over hammering and such, but each their own.

All 5-tons: Heavy Duty Torque Rod Ends

I just put a fabric tow strap on mine and pulled it with a pickup. Was gravy, went perfect. Smooth, controlled, and done.

    Detroit Locker Pics

Cute. No, with most people not going into work, I’m considering to finally do the mods I have accumulated. But gun turret ring first. Then tires, dump bed, then ISL/13sp. How’s retirement? You moonlighting for hospital generator maintenance?

    Detroit Locker Pics

Even though they came equipped on (some or most all?) Marine based M939’s, I’ll post this here for those that are considering to add such Detroit Lockers to their truck. Randomly there seems to be interest and questions about these. I have 2 which are uninstalled, so I thought I would post...

    5 Ton lockers

I have two. PM me an offer.

All 5-tons: Heavy Duty Torque Rod Ends

    Something is better than nothing.

    Generator overcharging

Overcharging even momentarily can cause lots of damage, especially to these trucks that have no protection for such. It can near instantly damage the CTIS module, ABS module, and PCB internals, as these electronics do not have over-voltage protection in them as well. It can also damage...

All 5-tons: Heavy Duty Torque Rod Ends

I’d recommend 12 new stock type ends with retainer plates installed. Easy to do before installing.

    engine alternatives for the deuce?

Interesting if true, and surprising for a medium duty engine.

    M939 with tac4

Fun to see, but I would not want to have to find parts for it. Most everything abnormal is from something else, so do-able, but will take 4x the amount of work to locate.

    engine alternatives for the deuce?

I have a DT466E fully complete on a run stand for cheap if anybody is serious on that motor. Can demo it to start and run. Is electronic, all self contained, variable turbo. You just replace your accel pedal with electronic one. There is a cult following for these engines, although I think...

M936 Cummins Big Cam 3 Engine Swap

Keep the progress pics going. Great to see somebody go further than I did, this makes me want to continue my swap. I'm also watching the big engine swaps such as this to see if the ISX would fit in my truck with the cab. It is a DOHC engine, so being 4 valve has a really wide head and valve...
