You should try them out in your drive way one night and see for yourself. Mine were no brighter than a match, so I wouldn't use them for anything. I just left them where they are.
Would you believe I'm a really fast typer? 8-)
Actually, I type it all out and then copied it all to notepad. When I tried to submit it, it kicked me out. But I just logged back in and it posted it up then.
I will start this by saying that of the boards/forums/etc.. that I have been a member of, there are 3 times that other members have gone above and beyond what you would think a person would do for another. Especially someone they don't really know and could be a million miles away from.

You might be able to get a radiator shop to repair yours. I tried that first, since it was the cheapest and easiest route. My radiator was too far gone though for that to work.
Probably so, but I have to run my 1009 like that for now.
Since it is working fine as it is, I can't justify spending money on it to fix something that doesn't need fixed. Way to many other bills pouring in, so the 1009 only gets what it needs to keep it running.
If you saw the post about...
Are you installing the turbo or are you having someone do it for you.
If someone is doing it for you, then I would have them check out the engine ahead of time and get their opinion on the matter.
If you are installing the turbo, then your best bet is to do some searching on here. I know...
I've got it installed.
Here's the skinny. The oil cooler lines were elongated enough that they wouldn't fit. Dad noticed this when he was looking at them earlier. He figured they had mushroomed slightly from being over-tightened.
We sanded and filed down the ends of the lines and they fit fine...
The Napa radiator was $140 more than the one I got from Oreillys.
That's another expense I can't afford at the moment. I actually owe my father about $320 for this radiator.
I guess I'll look at the fittings some more and see if they just don't need to be coaxed in a little harder to fit.
I'm in the same predicament. I bought a radiator from O'reilly's. Everything is connected up fine with the exception of the oil cooler lines.
Did you finally manage to get yours in?
I've got the same brass looking fittings that you had and I don't see how they are supposed to work.
I'd hate...
I think I posted up pics of my 1009. I'll try to look for my install.
I had to bend the safety loops up, the rear passenger side tie down only has one bolt through it now, and I had to remove the cross brace that the pintle attaches too.
I thought the bumpers were the same.
I did notice that when I ordered my receiver hitch, I had to get one for the Blazer as the trucks had more space between the frame rails. I would figure that would be true between the 1008/1028 and the 1009.
I've got something similar to that in my 1009. If it comes with the 3M sticky tape stuff to stick to the windshield, DON'T use it. Go get some of that glue to hold the rearview mirror on and use that. That 3M stuff lasted about a day, then it got really hot outside and the antenna fell off.

I used a hacksaw and a sawzall (reciprocating saw). I cut out the top and bottom around where the knobs for the stereo would go. Then I just bent the back.
Next I took 2 or 3 thin pieces of metal and pop-riveted them to the stereo bracket. I then used sheetmetal screws to hold those pieces of...
