New tires and one piece aluminum wheel pictures

I know this is not everyone's cup of tea but I thought I would throw it out there for folks that have questions or want options. These are Firestone MT2 tires. They balanced great and ride very, very nice. This probably doesn't make much sense but I can now feel the suspension working. My sweet...

Google a company called DB Engineering. They will send you a sample kit free. Nice stuff, looks just like what is in Humvees.

Possible cooling issue and/or water pump problem?

If you ran it for 30 minutes in this heat without overheating nothing is stuck closed. You WILL have a difference in temps on the hoses. Sounds like your radiator is working. The coolant level should be above any openings so it sucks coolant when needed and not air. It would probably be a good...

Possible cooling issue and/or water pump problem?

Go buy a cheap temp gun at a tool place then do some checking. When shooting the radiator hoses there should be a difference which indicates that the radiator is doing it's job. I am in Louisiana and it's hot too. I am running a 160 degree thermostat which a lot of folks will tell you is too...

1988 Humvee Project: Installed my "Bed Divider" today.

As to cutting I think we are both talking about the bulkhead divider or wall. Four man versions are scarce so you cut and weld a two man longer version. I have the repop side or fender brackets that a member sells here and they are very nice. I also found some weatherstrip material at Home Depot...

    Vibration when hit 32 mph

If you had a buddy with another HMMWV shaft to try that would nail the driveshaft question quickly.

Can I run tires without the runflats and PVC inserts?

Do you use stick on or clamp on weights? I broke mine down last night. They had stick on and didn’t vibrate so I am leaning that way. I weighed one assembly and it was 160 lbs. on a cheap bathroom scale. I will weigh the new tire with just the wheel if the tires ever get here.

Can I run tires without the runflats and PVC inserts?

I am not an expert but this is the little I know. 16.5 wheels have a 15 degree lip where the tire rides. This was for stiff truck tires to be easy to seat. We have stiff truck tires. Most wheels now have a 5 degree lip to really hold the tire well. I am under the opinion that you can run...
