    Footman's Loop Mounting Location

They correspond with the straps on the inside of windshield frame for folding down and transporting. There would also be 2 rubber bumpers on the outside of the WS frame to support it when strapped down.

    Issues with SF-97

Interesting. Purchased my 2nd USMC truck in a year and I'm at 90 plus days waiting for EUC. Not getting it done for me!

    Runaway Humvee

Anyone else see this? Wonder if it was privately owned or military? http://newyork.cbslocal.com/2017/09/23/bacon-festival-shut-down-after-woman-gets-trapped-between-humvee-food-trailer/

Replacement Covers for high back seats?

I'd take a set of tans if a group buy is more appealing to him.

Removing the bar behind the front seats

There was a factory kit for this. The reinforcement bar itself was P/N 6001702, and appears to be made of brass or a brass alloy. Way too heavy to be aluminum. I'm guessing the kit came with templates and hardware as well, but can't verify that. Here's some pics of the bar.

    GM's first Diesel Engine

Had a truck with one of those 350 Olds conversions. Very prone to head cracks. Must have replaced three in 50,000 miles. I still have 2 spare IP's. Never heard of the Toro before. Learn something new every day.

Auctioned off with an intact weapons station

I find it interesting that the Marine Corps / DOD / DLA is requiring the removal of the weapons stations on the most recent batch of GP HMMWV slant backs, yet the Government allowed this M923 (item number 935644) to be sold with the turret intact. Not sure if it being located in Guam has...

New to me -1990 M998 (AM General Pickup) - now time to deal with Maryland MVA

In my case there was an ancient trailer with the same number. Pointed out at a smaller branch. Waited a week, went to the main branch in Glen Burnie, prepared to move it up the chain of command. Went to the counter, had zero issues and walked out with tags 10 minutes later. They never even...

New to me -1990 M998 (AM General Pickup) - now time to deal with Maryland MVA

If you have a clear (unrestricted) title, you will be fine in MD. The only thing that throws the counter folks is if the 6 digit number matches something already registered. If that happens, wait a day and try going to a different branch. Also, as a 1990 you can apply for historic registration...

    Anyone R & R a rear wheel housing

Perhaps easier to just do the outer skin alone? Or ........ pound it out? Thoughts???

    Anyone R & R a rear wheel housing

Thanks, but I'm talking about the rear "fender", not a suspension part.

    Anyone R & R a rear wheel housing

Have the need to replace a right rear wheel housing due to damage. Anyone who did one, what advice do you have? Thanks, L

    Correct Power Steering Pump?

A bit more expensive to R&R outright, but repair parts are easily available. Its a standard Saginaw box. Only a pressure test will tell if its the pump.

    Correct Power Steering Pump?

Also consider it could be the steering box or fluid levels.

    Correct Power Steering Pump?

It is, but man that's a heavy price. Check your local auto parts place. Pretty sure it's just a standard GM PS pump.

Can someone help clarify something for me regarding model variance?

6.5 numbers are in the back on the block just behind the right head. GEP number format is; 06 13 N, while older GM is formatted as; B017 (for example.)
