    Turbo Chewing

Good Evening, M923A2 concerted to an M925A2. 8.3 unmodified. Fuel turned up 3/4 turn (so not much). Almost no smoke whatsoever. Anyway- pulling stuff apart to clean and paint (and rebuild alternator), I found that the compressor side of the turbo has some pretty chewy looking blades- all...

    CTIS Boot and lights Blinking

Happy New Year to All, I'm going back in to diagnosing my CTIS, lighting, and tire pressure issues. My front left tire is not holding air much past overnight. As well, if I hit the highway button, I get a pressure check and then 5 lights and the front left boot fills with air. I can hit...

    M925A2 CTIS and Tire Change

Ok Guys some more thoughts out loud- I applied air and only got a small leak around the front right tire tire stem (o-ring inside leaking- will replace tomorrow). I can't find any other leaks. I also filled all tires in the neighborhood of 65PSI and the fronts a little harder. I restarted the...

    M925A2 CTIS and Tire Change

I found one small leak around the threads of the left front tire fill hose going into the axle. Will remove and rap with either thread sealer or teflon tape. I don't hear any super loud whistling/siren sounds so I assume (pray and hope) none of the axle seals have gone. Two of the rear hubs...

    M925A2 CTIS and Tire Change

Yep. I fixed the hose on the front right that I knew was leaking (between valve and stem). I haven't found another leak. Will attack again tomorrow with a spray bottle of dawn/water for bubbles. I guess it could be read hubs. I haven't really heard hissing anywhere. What I have learned: 1. It...

    M925A2 CTIS and Tire Change

I can't get it to do a full cycle though, even on run-flat. She takes a single slug of air and goes into the 5 light blinking. After 15 minutes she'll go again and repeat. If I start and immediately hit the run flat button it still takes one slug of air and goes into 5 light blinking.

    M925A2 CTIS and Tire Change

Roger. I will try again today on shop air. I couldn't find any yesterday. When taking a slug of air, it almost sounded like there might be a blockage on that end of it. Not sure. Never had this issue before changing the tires and boots on the front end.

    M925A2 CTIS and Tire Change

Ok so I have a very small leak on one fitting on the hose connecting the valve stem to the "valve" on the rim. I will replace tomorrow but would that be enough to fault it? Today when I drained air it made a weird sound either from the dryer or that after tank, I'll have to crawl under tomorrow...

    M925A2 CTIS and Tire Change

I did it myself. I do all my own work. But she sat for two weeks. Do these trucks ever suck (vacuum) or just post pressure to the tires?

    M925A2 CTIS and Tire Change

Hey everyone. Thanks for reading. I just went from 14R20s with perfect CTIS to 16R20 Michelin XZLs and the CTIS is not working. I know the front right tire is leaking on the hose between the valve stem and controller (flexible piece- to be replaced tomorrow). However- if I start up- the...

M925A2 Transfer Case Hard to Shift

Good Morning, I've been reading a lot of forums so I wanted to bounce some ideas. My transfer case is really hard to shift. Button seems to be working (I can hear the click under the cab) but the truck is very very hard to shift and usually doesn't actually make it into gear unless I put the...

M925A2 and M923A2 Tires, Rims, and Lugs

Sorry I should of clarified- I knew about the tires rubbing in the bed and up front- I already built a set of 3/8" spacers to put in the front end to hopefully be enough for the tires rubbing. I was referring to issues/tips/advice for fitting the rims onto the 16R20s with beadlocks. I've heard...

M925A2 and M923A2 Tires, Rims, and Lugs

Happy Belated Fourth Everyone! Had a quick question- I'm about to pull all six tires, put 16.00R20s AT3A's in place of the mix-matched Michelin X's (4 rear) and Goodyear AT2A's (Front) (all 14.00R20). 1. Should I reuse the beadlock? 2. Any fitting/clearance issues? 3. I'm going to go buy a...

    Power Steering Toughness

Hey Guys- Couple of questions but the first and main one: Truck has roughly 750 hours and 22k miles (M925A2). Occasionally the power steering can be really tough to turn the wheel, seems almost like it happens mostly when the engine is falling off a few RPM (like letting off the gas) and I'll...

Fuel and Oil Pressure only working halfway....

Well I figured out the fuel gauge- the sender works but the float was cracked and therefore not floating! Carefully soldered together and it actually works (surprising)! Still not sure about the oil pressure. The axle light was a grounding issue (solved) and I haven't found where the...
