What if you had a setup to where you had live guns on the tank. Then have your personnel driving the tank and commanding it. That way you can always aim the tank in the right direction so that the gunners have to shoot into certain places to make it safe. Or have a commander aiming the main gun...
Might as well make them live while you're at it. What's the fun of driving a tank if you're buddy isn't sending some rounds down range? :D. Okay well driving tanks is fun either way... $$$$$$$$$$
Hey guys. I have a set of m105 trailer sides. I'm thinking about cutting them to use certain sections to mount a window unit A/C on my truck. I don't have any other use for them. I don't want to cut them if they are worth something. How much do two side sections usually go for? I don't have any...
I'm 19 years old just like you. Well I turn 20 in a couple weeks so, but we are in the same age boat. I just bought a 5 ton from GL a couple weeks ago. I don't regret the purchase at all. I fully understand the risks of driving the truck and I consider myself very mechanically inclined. I'm...
The covers could be mounted behind. It would be easier if I had a roller to bend it in the right curve though. And they are shorter width wise cause of bolt clearance. I'm sure they could be done better and you can take it for what it is. This is how I did it and that's how it is :driver:.
Yes I already had the material on hand, so it was a quick job. Not sure how much it's going for. My dad has had this stuff for years. I liked the idea of mounting the cover to the bars that run parallel to the ground, instead of mounting them to the headlight screws themselves. This way the bars...
My dad and me were talking about some headlight covers for my truck. Well today we installed em. I still have to paint the bolts (I'm going out there now actually), so don't mind the silver bolts. This is what we came up with. I think it looks pretty decent. What do you guys think?
Jeff
Either trailer it or get someone that knows what to look for to come with you. It's a better peace of mind when it has been looked over. Not worth damaging the truck... or you!
Hey everyone. There is a car and truck show at the Machinist Hall off the Rock Road in STL. It's this Sunday the 12th for anyone that's in the area an wanting to hang out. I will be there in my truck and it would be cool to get a couple more people going. Here is a link to the flyer of the show...
I have noticed that the 939 tm is very informative. I find myself searching and searching and never finding an answer for my question in the manuals. Then I go on here, do a google search and put "steel soldiers" after it, and usually find what I'm looking for.
Thank you. Yep, he says there are a lot of cool planes at that show. Wish I could have made it. If we weren't in a drought 24/7 I would have went. Couldn't get off work.
I am learning so much about this truck already. I have been outside for the last two days after work messing with stuff. I will crawl under the truck, look around, then go to the manual and read about what the parts are that I'm curious about. I fixed a bunch of little things. I'm thinking about...
Thank you everyone for the help and info. I'm not too worried about the brake lights and signals. I know it needs to be the first thing I fix, but it sounds easy enough. My main concern would be that leaky rear hub seal. I'm going to research how to add some lube.
Made it back home without a hitch. The truck ran good and everything went as smooth as I could ask for. Had to tighten a few belts, the brake lights don't seem to work, and the rear left hub seal will have to be replaced eventually. But other than that I'm super happy with it! Thanks Ray for the...
