The 1/8 fitting is for the vent. The larger fitting is where the 90 degree fitting goes. I'll trace the vent back and cap as needed.

So the 1/8" NPT vent tube location needs to be plugged? (It would make sense to, but not included in the instruction) Also, Should you remove the entire vent tube and cap the other end as well?

I can't tell, if the gears are completely missing each other (like they are misadjusted) or that they are worn down completely and won't mesh anymore. Like I said, I changed the fluid, and it looked a bit silvery. However, I would think that if the hardened internal gears of a 2.5 ton t case...

Quite possibly. So, if some shavings that bad? When I change the differential oil and T case oil on some of my other older vehicles, I get some shavings on the magnetic drain plugs. Is there a way to adjust or really tell what is going on with the T case on the truck?

On the secondary fuel filters, you have to stretch the gasket out, and it will then fit. Hold it in place for a minute or so, the gasket will shrink back down and hold itself in place.
