    My new M109

I got the leaky fuel lines fixed. Ordered some hose from McMaster Carr. Only thing else I had to get were some 3/8 and 1/4 brass compression fittings from Lowes. 9 times out of 10, while sitting still and the engine running, I'll put the trans shifter in neutral and move the t case lever...

    My new M109

So changed the oil a few weeks back, got the stock style NAPA filters, which included 2 different sized gaskets. I used the larger of the two gaskets, it seemed to fit snug and provide adequate sealing surface. Well after letting the truck warm up, I got a small amount of seepage from the base...

And the gov't planet ad should state that. If not, some time searching the 'net will teach you all you need to know. Back to the M109 talk....

    Remote Brake Fluid Reservoir

The 1/8 fitting is for the vent. The larger fitting is where the 90 degree fitting goes. I'll trace the vent back and cap as needed.

    Remote Brake Fluid Reservoir

Yea, that is the plan. Plug the 1/8 outlet on the master cylinder cap, and then plug the vent line somehow. Would not want to leave it open to the air. Just was curious, as those instructions that were posted were not complete. Which really grinds my gears. If you are going to take the...

    Remote Brake Fluid Reservoir

So the 1/8" NPT vent tube location needs to be plugged? (It would make sense to, but not included in the instruction) Also, Should you remove the entire vent tube and cap the other end as well?

    My new M109

Checked it out yesterday. In high range, everything is fine. Move the shifter froh high range to low range, feel two solid clicks in the handle, and the handle is at the floor. Let out the clutch, and the gears grind. I immediately push in the clutch. Try it again, and try and hold the...

    Someone hit my truck!!

That is if you are honest. Too bad most people aren't. Lots of ways to get a plate without insurance.

Shifter goes very close to the floor. I'll investigate a bit more and get some pics to help clarify Thanks

    My new M109

I suppose. That's why I'm here. I'm not sure if there are any common issues with these t cases? Split gear? Adjustments? tests to do to narrow down the problem? anything else? Thanks

    My new M109

I can't tell, if the gears are completely missing each other (like they are misadjusted) or that they are worn down completely and won't mesh anymore. Like I said, I changed the fluid, and it looked a bit silvery. However, I would think that if the hardened internal gears of a 2.5 ton t case...

    My new M109

Quite possibly. So, if some shavings that bad? When I change the differential oil and T case oil on some of my other older vehicles, I get some shavings on the magnetic drain plugs. Is there a way to adjust or really tell what is going on with the T case on the truck?

    My new M109

Got it for a good price, pretty much fell into my lap. Towed to my house for free (2 hrs away). Saved a ton of time and gas money right there. I'm driving this one. Does good. Everything works under the hood and electrically. Box is in pretty good shape (for the money) Minimal surface...

    My new M109

So any input on why everything is fine in high range, but I get nothing (like in neutral) when I try to engage low range? Every so often I'll get a slight grind sound, but I push the clutch in immediately to limit the damage. Changed the oil in the T case...it looked a little silvery, but no...

    My new M109

Got the fluids and filters changed/checked yesterday, seems to check out ok....still some issues to iron out and maintenance to catch up on. Question: I have high range, no problems/noises/issues what so ever. However, when sitting stopped, and try and shift into low range, very occasionally...

    Oil Filter Gaskets M35A2

Yea, I saw post #2. Wanted further clarification due to other posts stating that the gaskets that come with the filters "are fine/worked' I used the gaskets that came with the filters, and have a leak, albeit a small leak at the base of the canister. Due to some posts stating that the...

    Oil Filter Gaskets M35A2

Well, I had a suspicion, but the posts on the subject either a) don't mention what gaskets were used b) state that the included gaskets work c) "I used other gaskets, but don't remember what they were" useless posts d) mention an obsolete part # e) a variety of banter that has nothing to do with...

NAPA part #'s for m35a2 oil filters????

On the secondary fuel filters, you have to stretch the gasket out, and it will then fit. Hold it in place for a minute or so, the gasket will shrink back down and hold itself in place.
