Ok, Earlier in the thread there was a alleged D70 hd available in cincy, gimpy picked it up for me, it was not a D70, it was in fact a gm 14 bolt. A local NM craigslist ad had a true dana 70 hd dually rear, which I also purchased. So I have a 14bolt gm dually rear in ohio, and a d70 hd with...
I scored a Dana 70HD here in NM, 88081, Thanks to Bgekky3, aka: Nick, for the tip. I would also like to thank Gimpy for picking up another dually rear that turned out to be a 14 bolt GM. Everyone on this site is awesome!!!
Thank you !!!
Ok, I need hubs for this dana 70 HD, tried epay, bing search, but could not find a listing with hubs for dual rear wheel D 70, anyone have a part number or source?
I just measured both of the axles I have, the installed in my A3, and the one in the shop, they both measure about 57" from inside backing plate to inside backing plate
Yes I have the 70HD rear from a flat bed service truck in a junkyard, what is the difference?, overall width of the housing?
And, your truck is beautiful!
I think you're correct Kenny, The A3 I have is a half arsed Airforce install at best. . . the bed fenders, original bedside were not cut out the data plate is homemade, and they did not install the rear sway bar. . .

I know you changed the oil, did you check the level after you fired it up?
I just put a rebuilt motor in a CUCV and filled it to the full level on the dipstick, a week later I was trying to figure out why it sounded so rattlely, I was 1 and a half quarts low on the dipstick.
Actually, no, it does not, reexamine the pics, the hub I bought off epay is offset, where as the adapters on my A3 are lined up between the nut to the hub and the nut to the stud.
