    HMMWv seats

If you buy high-back seats (the "OEM" military ones) for all four places, it's more expensive than a similar-quality set of aftermarket seats, which will be more comfortable. So that's a trade off. If you want to keep the military look of the OEM high backs but get at least a bit more comfort...

    M998 custom A/C setup

That's my question too. Could someone who has installed one chime in? I know the Reddot systems are overkill for anyplace that's not the Arabian Desert.

    Windshield fold down straps

I believe they're sewed on (I'm not home to look at my truck at the moment) to the loops at the top of the windshield frame. So you'd just need to acquire the webbing and sew some up.

Burning out headlights, showing 30+ volts

If it's the 60 amp unit, you can adjust the output of the alternator. Check that you can't adjust it down before having it rebuilt. The first rely here explains https://www.steelsoldiers.com/showthread.php?106966-HMMWV-Question

    Small (amusing) HMMWV admirer

So I was on my way to a meeting yesterday afternoon driving the truck and stopped to get fuel. As I pumping diesel this lady pulled up to the other side of the pump and got out with her son--I'd guess he was about three. He saw the HMMWV and his eyes got big as saucers. He asked me "Is that your...

    Ibis Tek light bars

So the one I’m looking at has a four pin, it turns out... Anyone know if these have the HID ballast in them or if they need to be externally driven?

    Ibis Tek light bars

I'm thinking about buying one of the Ibis Tek light bars with IR and HID lamps in it for my truck. In looking that the pictures on the evil auction site, I see that there's a five pin connector in the unit. Anyone have a pinout for this or know where I can get more info? Ibis Tek sells a...

4 person intercom with ability to link in cell phone

Not that there are any sensible judges/juries in CA, but if they cited you all you'd need to do is to offer them a ride to get them to agree that hearing protection is necessary. And honestly, most passive noise reduction systems aren't going to prevent you from hearing horns or sirens, they'll...

Run flats, M998, sand & low tire pressure, help needed

It's doable. I drove mine from Tennessee to Kansas (920 miles) when I bought it.

What have you done to your HMMWV today/lately

Here's a photo of it up... Sorry for the crappy pic... the lighting is terrible this morning. I need to try again when the truck is in the garage or in the late evening when the contrast isn't confusing my phone. DVE bracket with backup camera... I'm trying to strike a balance between...

    Power steering bleeding help needed

Was the front end off the ground when you did the side-to-side thing? Did you follow this: http://www.hummerknowledgebase.com/susp/ppsp.html

    Basic HMMWV tool bag

Yep. At this point I should just pick up a wrench and put it immediately back, because whatever I grab first isn't going to be what I need.

M998 No POWER to ANYTHING 6 volts only !

Since you have two trucks between the two of you (I assume), you could always swap the potentially bad box into the other truck and see if it exhibits the same problem. That would tell you if the box was bad. Those things are stupid expensive, so I understand the reluctance to throw another part...

    Basic HMMWV tool bag

In the under-seat storage in the rear, I have a pretty complete mechanics tool set, including wrenches and sockets, various sizes of screw and nut drivers, three kinds of tape (duct, electrical, and metalized), pliers, electrical components (packard connectors, etc), and assorted spares (lamps...

What have you done to your HMMWV today/lately

This. Whenever I stop to get fuel I have to leave a few extra minutes, because I know that the driver whose car is on the other side of the pump, or in the next lane over, is going to want to ask about it. Once when coming out of Wallyworld I was stopped no less than three times: once as I was...

    Dimensional drawings?

How detailed were you hoping for? I don't think the TMs have all the measurements you'd need to draw it out in 3D--because I was thinking about doing the same. If you're patient and motivated, you could start with a drawing that has some known dimensions marked and then work out the rest of it...

Just purchases M1123, need hauling advice.

I'm not a professional trucker, but the thing I'd be the most concerned about is the CG. The HMMWV sits pretty high on it's own--though it's wide and slow enough that that's not a serious problem. But put that 5600 pounds on top of a flatbed and the CG of the total package... is going to be...

    HMMWV licensure in KS

I registered mine in KS using the normal process. Bought the vehicle in TN with an on-road title. Made sure it would pass the VIN inspection and walk-around by adding a backup light. Had it inspected. Took the VIN inspection info and TN title to the tag office. They had some difficulty with...
