Does anyone know what rpm the 1009 should be running at a givin speed Say 60mph? Im checking for trans slipage. it has std 10.5 31x15 tires and std gears 308.
and if it is slipping IM geusing it would be torque converter.

I'm looking for injectors for my 96 m1009 can anyone tell me if they are fine or corse thread? and best place to buy.
also I see the injection pumps for sale on ebay do we think they would hold up to the low sulfer fuels?

MY mileage on my 86 m1009 went from 20 to 15 in the last month also seems harder starting and smokes more at start up. seems to run good otherwise. The glow plugs seem to be working(volt meter shows a drop in voltage when glow plug relay turns on) (also the belt squeels when glow plugs are...

while on the topic does anyone know if this kit would make the truck louder? it seems the civy 6.5 turbos are quite loud.

when draining oil if you have a oil sample valve open it you will drain an extra pint or so. i I belive it is from the oil cooler. (the valve is located near top drivers side of the radiator.)
I was there on Sunday but looking at the picturs I missed a lot by not being there on Saturday.
But on a better note the show got me motivated to try to finish my other m1009 for the fall ride.
How can I tell if a Deuce I may or may not be looking at is a turbo? it seems like GL has a habit of showing the same engine compartment photo for ALL of the deuces.
