The first modification I did to the truck was add power steering. It completely changes how the deuce drives and handles on the street. Traffic and inner city driving become no problem. You can also maneuver around parking lots without making your arms burn. The kit I purchased is from Waterloo...
Ok so to give a little back story I purchased this truck with no intentions of doing anything crazy other then to just own a deuce. That didn't last long with the help of you guys. I have no training when it comes to welding, metal work, mechanics, body work, or really anything that has to do...
I did 16ga for the floor up halfway on the side. Then 18ga for the very top because of hail and tree limbs. Then 20ga along the roof sides and around the doors. Id like to know how people are forming a seal around the door windows. I'm thinking next time I'm going to build the door around the...
How did I miss this. Welcome to the area, if you can go to the NC rally that is coming up next weekend. Also takes lots of pics and share cause I can't make it.
That sounds a little extreme for just having air in the lines. I drove my M36 that needed the brakes bleed but I could build and hold pressure. Also these brakes when bled and set properly will want to through you through the windshield. Some guys dog on them but after I went through the brakes...
I was referring to an ouverson violator kit that changes over to 2" 47 spline shafts. Rear is $1700 front goes from $2550 to $4050 plus machine work. Just on option to think about if you start breaking stuff.
Id use that money for 5 ton internals. The drivetrain will probably do fine as long as your not crazy on it. Going off-road in a mud hole will probably end with you breaking stuff. Driving and towing you should be alright as long as your not trying to race people.
Add a little bit more angles and have the outside corners narrower and shorter then the middle. This one seems a little bulky and simple but a good start.
The engine will do 3000 rpms as it is. Adjust your rev limiter and you can see yourself. The issue is with the rods and the heavy pistons. Rod bolts are known to break or shear maybe? Look up the design to see what I mean or search rod bolts.
Yes, high compression + high boost = blown heads. Here is where I need things explained to me. Is the thermal efficiency advantage worth keeping or is it better to drop the compression and up the boost. How do these two paths differ in EGT, engine temp, power, and fuel efficiency. Two paths...
I'm sorry I did not clarify my statement. Cam modification or cam swapping is a predominantly gas engine thing. Meaning if you have a gas engine and you want to put down some numbers, be it on the street or strip, v8 or I4 cam swaps are very popular. In the world of diesel modification you...
Cam modification in a gas engine thing. From what I've done in diesel modification your money is better spent in a better turbo and fuel mods. The multifuel is a strange beast because it's a diesel with a twist. Even though there are thousands out there in circulation to many belong to truest...
Im very excited to see this install. Doing a filter swap soon, two birds one stone. My truck will be my daily driver so I'm going to be putting about 10k miles a year.
ATPTach has two blown engines, you might want to hit him up to see if he wants to sell you some heads. I would, but dumping 3k in one month to finish my truck up is enough to swallow. My turd is already getting a nice polishing. Why not add a little under the hood?
Ok so I'm about to purchase one of these dual voltage alts for my truck. I don't know much about these types of things but I just want to get something cleared up before I start wiring. Everything shares the same ground correct? I don't need to wire a second ground separate from the vehicles...
