Yeah, I also noticed that no hold harmless agreement was required. Truck was picked up yesterday and is on its way to Texas as we speak. I also confirmed with GP that because this is a USMC truck the SF97 will NOT have an off-road only stamp.
Does anyone happen to know the overall height of the HMMWV with a deep ford exhaust system? I picked up a 1045 recently and just wondering if my garage door opening is tall enough to accommodate it. My non-deep ford 998 fit with plenty of room to spare but it looks like the pipe sits up quite...
Has anyone else noticed that GP is getting really sloppy with the pictures they are taking of auction trucks? I have seen atleast 4 different slant back HMMWV's that re-use the same motor and undercarriage pictures. This is giving me pause about bidding now because I cant tell what condition...
I know that the date on the data plate can change after a reset or other major overhaul but does anyone know if the Serial number itself ever changes?
I ask because some of the newer trucks on GP look much older than their data plate would suggest and many have data plates that have clearly...
Yep, sure did. It has been a while since I bought the connector so I cant find the part number. I do recall that it was an older GM style connector for a camshaft sensor or something of the like. It is available on the internet.
The TPS link you have is the one I installed. I physically...
Very simple...the TPS comes unterminated. You just solder on the proper pigtail and the remote TPS cable has a clip that fits perfectly onto the kickdown cable position on the IP. The remote TPS I used was made by EZ-TCU.
The 6.2L pump does not have the cam lobe necessary to actuate the TPS. You might be able to figure out how to refrofit the lobe on the 6.2L though. The other option is to use a remote, cable actuated TPS. I used this setup quite successfully on my 6.2L pump.
You wont find a new sticker anywhere. My 6.5 GEP came with a replacement valve cover and no sticker so I made several calls. GEP will not sell you a decal. Your best bet is a used take off valve cover on ebay....saw one go through about two months ago.
and BTW...I also wanted the sticker to...
Thanks so much...
It has a red dot air conditioning system. I apologize that I dont have any pics of the truck on this computer. Really just wondering what others are selling for with similar configurations.
Thanks!
Hi Guys -
I have had my truck for about a year and a half and i'm getting the itch to possibly try a different MV. I have scoured the web in an effort to understand what to price my current truck at but the prices vary widely. My truck is a bit of an odd bird because it is a 1992 HMMWV with...
Had the same issue...your sender is bad. Its a cheap fix if you do it yourself but the labor involved is significant. To do it right, you should count on 3+ hours. You will need to drop the tank. I used the opportunity to swap to the newer A2 tank with all new fitting. now reads 100% at...
Just purchased a new surge tank cap from Kascar and the new unit they sent me is rated at 16 lbs. The parts book calls for a 15lb. unit. Do you guys think this is a problem? I dont see 1 lb making a difference but what do you guys think?
I just did the oil pan last week and did not use a gasket. Cleaned the engine block sealing surface and oil pan lip very carefully with acetone and used the rubber lip seal on the back with Permatex Right Stuff around the full perimeter of the oil pan. So far so good with no leaks. It is...

I am installing a 4l80 soon but I have a few clarifying questions before I begin.
1. Where is the TPS located? On the IP or the gas pedal? The TPS is located on the 6.5L injection pump. 6.2L IP's do not have the correct TPS driver pin. my opinion..do yourself a huge favor and...
