    Bumper marking translation

When I was at Ft. Jackson, MLRS hadn't been invented yet, and there were no Active Duty assets other than training support as fas I as I know. The MLRS Battalion we had in the Michigan Army Guard (182nd FA/MLRS, 177thMP BDE) may have had a Target Acquisition Battery, but I never heard of it. I...

    Bumper marking translation

Probably something like Training Assistance Battalion. TDC is actually Training AND Doctrine Command, commonly called TRADOC. Most likely used to haul the basic trainees around when they didn't use the cattle cars.

    All Dolled up parade ready

My bad. I immediately saw 10 US Flags when you said that. You really only need 1 US, although I just read through an American Legion book about Flag Etiquette and it did say more were permissable. Just make sure none of the others are taller or in front of the US. Thanks for the support of...

How much have you spent with GL?

I have no $$ to spend on GL (or anywhere else, for that matter) and no time for any additional projects. I guess that comes under self-control due to outside influences.

    What is THIS????

One hell of a giant paper clip!!!! If it was just the clip itself, I'd say some sort of rifle mount. With that section of frame attached and drilled for mounting to something else, I don't have any constructive ideas.

    pioneer rack

The little carrying set for the HMMWV fits in a special bracket under the rear of the truck. That is the only truck it is designed to fit on. For the CUCV, I never saw the pioneer set installed on ANY model, either pickup or blazer. the one Chris has in his 1008 was probably put there by an...

M295 trailer chassis (M313, M447) towing with super singles?

Sorry, I thought M313 was the other number on the manual of the trailers it covered. Turns out it's M373. I've never actually seen a singled tractor in service. The few diagrams I can find with dimensions show just less than 72 inches from the kingpin center to the landing gear center.

M295 trailer chassis (M313, M447) towing with super singles?

Dave, Check with Clilnt. The M348A2N trailer I sold him is on that chassis. It's the one I towed with the Civvy tractor from IL. Says it's designed to tow behind the M818 series tractor.

    Door symbol on M1009?

RE: Ordnance Corps I heard it a lot because that's what I was. Although, most of the INFANTRY legs ridiing gratefully in my truck called us POGUES.

    Door symbol on M1009?

Ordnance Corps The top part of the emblem is the Ordnance Corps Fireball or bomb or whatever you want to call it. It is the right collar insignia for all enlisted maintenance personnel on their dress green uniforms. The marks below it are a crossed rifle and wrench, signifying that this is a...
