roof basket I like the full length basket on the roof- I've been looking for a safari rack that would give the same coverage.

I'be restored or repaired a number of old trucks, including a '46 Chevy pickup (one of the postwar buybacks). I'be always used Loctite Extend to kill and seal the rust before painting. If the area was badly pitted, I'd use NAPA body prep, which is a dilute phosphoric acid solution.

If any of the metal is in solid condition, I've always used Loctite Extend to kill rust and seal the metal. In fact, I just got a M1009 that has a fair amount of rust on the underside of the rear deck. Going to wire brush it and put on Extend.

Sold my M1008 to a gentleman in NC, and was already in the market for its replacement. Guy not too far from me had a nicely repainted 1009. He used Rapco 383, and did a pretty good job. Now for the other stuff: I need to repair/replace the rear deck. Looks like the depo left the back window...

At one time, I remember seeing a site where I could look up my truck's VIN number to see where the truck was used. That was two computers ago, and I haven't been able to find it since. Does anybody have a resource on that?

I notice the civvy model doesn't have the high base like the M1008. I'm assuming the bolt pattern's the same. Maybe I could add a spacer to the base to make the height?

I believe it already had the cracks in it, and with the bit of driveshaft rumble I have it finished it off.
