It was worth the wait.. now I have to insure the deuce and license it. For now she sits semi secure in a lot my friend owns. So all told I will see maybe 4 months of not being able to drive it after the first win.
I just adjusted 45K for inflation, which was around 295K.. It does make sense when you say make me a truck that will last 40-50 years and can burn anything I put into it and can withstand war. Hell look at the prices the new trucks cost now!
Well I used this inflation calculator : The Inflation Calculator
It basically states that if the US government paid 45K for this truck in 1966 that would adjust to around 295K today.
Not bad considering I paid 1142 for it:-D
No worries there.. they are protesting rich people getting taxed..
Anyway am I correct to assume that the original price was around 40K.. back in the 60's? If so, and adjusted for inflation, how mush would this truck be today new?
Just need to start buying from closed sites. I have never had this experience but would assume that it happens more at large sites where people "know" the GL personnel and are allowed to fart around on the lot. Still it is a military post, contact the MP's.. have them take a report and if they...
Been reading up, WAR-PIG is a great name for the rebuild. NICE! Wish I had the time and money.. or maybe just the money to pay someone else to do it:wink:
Just wanted to say one person can make a difference, Firefighter Crum, a friend of this boys family started a chain of events that demonstrated there are always opportunities for people to do good. My head is still shaved cause my wife likes it.. think I may keep it:twisted:
Emergency Crews...
Most of the people in the pics I work with, could not find me though. You were about 2 feet away when you shot the one of my Capt and Asst Chief cause I remember standing there just prior to him getting shaved.
You should have PM'd me. I was there in uniform, still have it shaved:-D
total was like 144 people got there head shaved for this young boy, his parents were overwhelmed by the outpouring of support from people they did not even know. I called Great Wolf Lodge and they gave them a nights stay...
Congrats. Was watching that one, a friend had been bidding on it but did not want to go that high. I have family in southern MI so the trip would have been nice. Appears you have a road trip to plan!
