Does any one have knowledge or photographs of civilian based 80’s three wheelers?

I think you are looking for The Kawasaki KLT 250P Prairie Police Edition. They were painted to order. Pretty much the same as this. When I was much younger, we used them for Off-Road enforcement.

    This newbie is done!

"2 starters, has 2 new batteries, 2 brand new starters, a new GP relay, and 2 brand new alternators" I assume you meant one each. Too bad, however this is a MV vehicle hobby and it costs money. For cheap reliable transportation I would not buy a MV maybe a moped.

Ticking noise in cab from engine.

As you can see from the variety of responses, it could be a lot of things. Here's my two cents, buy a stethoscope from NAPA or wherever you shop. Start it and crawl around. It won't take you long to track it down.

    axle ratio?

If you feel the need to go that fast, change the tire size. But I think 70 mph is too fast for 13,000lbs of 40+ year old truck. 2cents

    Opportunity knocks***

Here's my 2cents Buy it. Clean it, paint it etc. Put it on the truck and take lots of pics. Then sell it. Everytime I bought something, then sold it and made a profit. I always enjoyed it more.

    Got my first Deuce.

Congrats on the truck. I agree, be prepared for a break down. I would be shocked if something did not go; BOOM or SNAP or CRACKLE or POP or CRUNCH or.....that's all I can think of. Bring tools and an even temper.

    Turbo ID

C or "Whistler" turbo is narrow the D is a bit wider. I have a D and would not get a C. They are just too loud. But then again; I went to a concert and it was too loud. 2cents
