    Help with side mirrors…

Before I switched over to these, I only had the early style mirrors (one- and two arms), which came on the early gassers. There is no comparison, really: 1st, the west coast mirrors give you a much better angle since they stick out further. And 2nd and most important: they don't vibrate! I...

    Continental MPT 81 tires on M35A3 ?

The stock M35A3 wheels are 20x11" MPT and fit perfectly, for those tires. IMHO, the 365 Conti MPT81 is the best tire you could possibly put on your truck.

    Trailworthy fab closed?

Not of the process itself. But I promise to make a short video, next time.

    Trailworthy fab closed?

I still don't understand why someone in the US didn't tool up already, to convert the regular rubber runflats into just beadlocks. I'm sure more and more people want to run beadlocks, instead of the runflats. It really isn't that difficult to do; it takes me less than one hour to cut...

Identify these parts on an LDT 465-1D

Looks like someone has swapped parts on it, randomly.... That waste-gate turbo is from an early 5-ton LDS465-1. The compressor housing, as well as that intake elbow should each be rotated 90deg CW. Although I'm not sure if both openings would perfectly align, after that.

    Drag link adjustment

He is correct. And that's how the TM tells you to proceed: tighten, then back off a bit (maximum 1/2 turn) until the pin fits through. Of course that only applies to new- or fairly new ball studs with no obvious wear.

    Drag link adjustment

    T M 9 - 2 3 2 0 - 2 0 9 - 2 0 - 3 - 2 (May1981), Paragraph 15-9 I'm not sure about that one...

An interesting comment I heard from deep inside Ukriane

AFAIK Michelin's XML tires have not be cloned yet. But Triangle (which may be the largest tire manufacturer in China) does make the TRY66, which could be considered a XZL clone. The picture below shows one Russian truck (Pantsir-S1) stuck somewhere in the Ukrainian mud, after both rear tires...

    Goodyear G272 on M35A2

No. The most common "MRAP to Deuce" conversion uses a wheel with a 10-on-335mm bolt pattern and Ø281mm pilot hole. Plus a #1/2" adapter plate and hardware to bolt everything together. Like this one.... The wheel you posted would need some extensive modification before you could bolt on such an...

Those wheels won't help you at all.

    Goodyear G272 on M35A2

Which MRAP wheels? There are different sizes/types out there, most are 20x10" and have a backspace of ~11". (Even with a 1/2" adapter plate, your F-L tire will rub on the pitman shaft.) Post pics of the wheels you have in mind. The G272 MSA are 12.00R20s and the recommended rim size is 20x8.5".

    Funky steering

A to 1st Q: No, it doesn't. A to 2nd Q: you can... but you will end up with way too much caster and a bad angle, prop shaft to diff pinion. I suggest reading this thread. This is what I do... (4-5deg positive caster is what you want, not more.)

    Help with side mirrors…

This shows the whole assembly (AKA "west-coast mirror").... Note part #2, which goes on the inside of the cowl. That one missing angle bracket shouldn't be too difficult for you to replicate. Same goes for cutting/drilling two pieces of 1/8"x1" flat stock. This picture shows where that bracket...

    PTO Shifter handle

TNJMURRAY has it listed here, NOS with the correct NSN, but the image shows a TC lever... I would check with them, just in case. Of course that handle can be reproduced exactly, but for that you should have one complete assembly to copy from, rather than go from drawings/pics. Besides the short...
