With all due respect sir, that is not an MT1029. That is the newer version. I think it is an MT6352. The difference is the vertical cable terminals facing up. The MT1029 only has them underneath. The MT6352 works with the newer VIC-3 too. It is for the newer SATCOM stuff.

The ordinary flat black from WalMart, (I think it's about $1.50 a can) WILL turn to chalky grey after a year in the sun. I promise. The Ultra flat (black in this case) camo paint they sell however works much better in the sunlight/fade issue.

I believe you have the newer "Singars" stuff. The common RT524/RT246/R442 etc, will not work with that stuff. There is a market for it, but it sure isn't as popular as the older stuff. Not yet and not in our circles anyway. I hate to say it, but it is for the most part, too new.
