Nothing that I found on the site indicates I need an EUC for this. No exclamation mark on the sold page, no email from GL stating I need it. Nothing on the invoice. Looking at M1009 and M1008 and M1028's I see that most of the 1008s and all of the 28's require it.
To be sure, I sent an email...
So there is no EUC notification on the invoice, nothing on the 'sold' page at GL and I only received a 'congratulations, go here to download your paid-in-full invoice' email so I must assume that I don't need one. Firee an email off to GL to be sure though.
Ok, so you can still drive it home without tags as long as you have the paid in full invoice with VIN and proof of insurance? Or is this assumed courtesy by the local PD's?
According to the site, it's from the invoice paid in full date which was Friday. So I have until November 23rd.
You're right about the local though. I could get it here, bring it there and drop it back off there for 55 per day. Worth considering for sure.
Hey All,
New to the site. Just picked up an M1009 in Jefferson City MO and realized too late that I have only 10 days to get the darned thing off the lot. I am working on a car hauler but it looks as though the one I was going to borrow might have a bent axle. Not sure yet.
UHaul's online...
Yeah, somebody really wanted that one. My final price for the 84 was still a little high but after the election my wife started taking the BOV idea pretty seriously. Not political, just that the talk around the DC and Baltimore burbs is a sudden realization that prices are going sky high and...
I'd love to have someone get it and store it till I can get the license and registration (<30 days). Then I could just rent a car and drive it back later. BUT I'm new here, don't know nobody and nobody knows me so I think that's a non-starter on both sides. Shoulda been more active when I...
Not according to UHaul. I need to be able to pick it up in MO and drop it off in MD. A local rental wouldn't allow that. 400 + tax for a hauler, < 200 for a dolly. Wife is not happy about the 10 day time limit to pick up ("Right at Thanksgiving?!?!? Nice.") and is rapidly losing interest in my...
84
I bid on the 86 but the winner was clearly motivated to get it. The only other one I've seen in that kind of condition was near me at Ft. Meade. It went for quite a bit too. I'm looking at this as a daily driver and BOV so the less I spend at the outset the better.
Ok, so here is the M1009 I just purchased through GL. I've got a buddy with a car hauling trailer he uses for his rock crawler but it turns out he bent an axle last week and I'm not sure if it will be ready before I need to roll to pick up the new toy.
My next choice is going to be a car dolly...
I'm not a body guy. Tried it years ago and not my thing. I'll be bringing it to a friend for the body work and then do the paint myself with aerosol cans.
So when I called the guy from GL about scheduling pickup he said that this one and the other they had there ran very well and they drove them to their parking places. Don't know him from Adam so don't know that I can trust what he said but I'm hopeful.
The damage I would guess is from service...
Hey All,
So I'm still figuring out how to retrieve my M1009 from Jefferson City MO but that will be another thread I suppose. In the mean time, I'm wondering if anyone has any ideas as to how the damage in the linked picture could happen. It's obviously fixable but I'm hoping to get some...
Nice truck! I'm a new guy been lurking a while. Just picked up an 84 M1009 from govliq. What's this about a forklift? Mine was driven onto the lot so can I assume an undamaged undercarriage?
I'll be more active once I get my paws on the new toy and haul it back from MO.
OP good luck on the...
