Just bringing this back up to say thanks mckeeranger for the specs in that last post... the only thing that kept me from getting my truck working again Saturday was being in NH with no internet connection, and my tech manual for some reason didn't give a torque spec for those blasted injector...
so put the second case in when driving on the street, throw the first case in when you're offroad, and keep the other on hand for spares, problem solved :jumpin:
On a more serious note, I've been hoping I can find a Rockwell T138 for spare parts / rebuild around here somewhere. I hope to...
My M54A2 runs about 55-56 if I am going downhill with a tailwind and my foot to the floor in 5th. I think I can probably hear the bearing caps stretching at those RPMs though so I try to keep it 52 and under.
forgot, I LOVE that Purple Power stuff. I use that on unsealed cement floors all the time, what it doesn't take up, I use engine degreaser on (the orange oil stuff, it smells great.) Anything left gets acetone or brakleen and a good scrubbing.
The fluid already ate into the asphalt most likely... not much you can do aside from soak up / wash off the stuff that's still at the surface. You'll probably have to patch the asphalt in the future.
This is one of the reasons I like working on concrete (preferably epoxy sealed) rather than...
Well, I went back up to my friend's place for the first time in months to work on my yard art. He is tolerant to say the least... between the house I bought, the snow we got pounded with, work, and keeping the other 3 jeeps operational, I have had very little chance to work on it.
Pulled the...
I had never driven a standard more than half a mile when I bought my 5 ton - I "learned" to drive standard in my dad's 5 speed 4 banger civic for about 20 minutes back in high school, then he got in an accident a few weeks later and I never drove another standard till the 5 ton. Brought a...
Not looking like I'm going to have the time *or* the money to attend :(
You guys have fun out there... I'll hopefully make the octoberfest event if it happens again, last time it coincided with my Jeep XJ/MJ club's octoberfest event but I was in Colorado on business. Like five of the guys sent...
Yep, has been the same for at least a few months. I checked sometime last fall and saw that. I would rather see it up front than find out after spending time calling them or emailing them, they did the right thing there.
Hoping to make it but not sure I can. If I do, I'll get there ultra late Friday. Might end up driving one of the little jeeps, or drive the M54, or drive the M54 with one of the little jeeps in the back.
I hear that you can buy two lift kits for a General Electric UM25B and use one on each side for 6" of lift.
You may have to adjust the toe-in to avoid wearing the treads out too quickly however.
Sounds like a great deal except the possibility that he'll "steal" your truck. I'm considering going through them as soon as I find the manufacturing date stamp on my M54A2 so I can prove the year if necessary.
roflroflroflroflrofl
won't help you pay for it until you set up a yahoo store selling deuces you haven't even bought yet, or possibly try and get everyone to chip in on a gargantuan trailer and an M920 so we can all pick stuff up from GL at the same time
