Sorry for your loss, dude. Seems like when it rains, it pours. Keep on gittin' up. You seem to have the perseverance thing down pat. You're gonna do just fine. God bless. Dick.
Here is some info on the PTOs. Used the 24P and 34P TMs to get info on them. Pay attention to the UOM codes, for what goes on what truck. Hope it helps.
If by the CTIS module you mean the part with the lights, I don't anticipate any problems there, it looks like an add-on to the shifter tower. Any differences in the angle of the two shifter towers can be accommodated by the flexibility of the wires. I am more concerned with the mass of hose and...
I'm going to be doing the same thing, winch from 925 to 923A2. Looks like everything will transfer over except the controls. I wasn't sure about the PTO driveshaft, but suspected it would be a problem. Checked the TMs and it is a different part number. There are two different PTOs but one was...
Do you guys know if the transmission from an A2 5 ton will change up with the transmission in an A/A1? What are the Allison model numbers in the two trucks? I've only found a P/N or NSN in the TMs. I would like to put an A2 engine in an A model 925, but I can't tell if the bolt patterns, etc...
@ Rifleman-Yes, I used the troubleshooting guides in the TMs. Trouble is, the only thing they cover is the low air switches and the parking brake inputs. I didn't see anything about the high engine temp switch there. I got the info about that from the schematic. In the schematic, only the box...
Anybody run in to this? I've checked the three inputs, overheat, low air, and parking brake switches. All is well with them. It has power at terminal A and the ground is good. I checked for 24V power at terminal B, but can't seem to get it with the light switch in any position. From looking...
There is enough of a difference just on the outside for me to not even consider taking the hub off of the 925. Thanks for the responses. Anybody ever bought one before from a vendor? Would like to know who, where and how much.
According to the TM, they are different part numbers. I'm going to physically check the drums here in a minute, anybody had to order one yet and where did you get it?
Hoping that someone knows off the top of their head whether a brake drum off of a 925 will work on a 923A2 axle. I am in the process of searching the TM for part numbers but hoping for a quick rescue. Thanks, Dick.
Subscribed! Some specifics with regard to what people have used to plug the hole in the hub would be great. My923A2 showed up three days ago with beat up hub connections.
Try using a holesaw in the upper horizontal surface of the sill. Make your hole to gain access to the backside. cut out the bad stuff, insert sheet metal behind the hole, tack it in, grind tacks smooth, add bondo as needed, and paint. The hole will allow you seal the metal on the backside and get...
