Another factor in this case is hpw old is the fuel in this truck and how long has it been sitting? The fuel could be as old as 3 or 4 years old. Run a couple tanks of good fuel through it and some diesel conditioner and trans fluid will help clear things up. Good luck, nice find! Phil

DJfreema, I would not hesitate to weld on UR frame. If usind a Mig, even better, less heat. I have Cut and welded frames for over 35 years and nothing broke yet! I have several l vehicles I have lengthened the frames on and tested several times with Heavy Loads. I have even welded leaf springs...
