    Hard Copy Manuals

Like he said, they can be found on eBay. I bought a reprinted version for a reasonable price. Funny thing was, when I finally took a look at the batteries under the passenger seat, I found an ORIGINAL stained copy of the -10 sitting in the side compartment :)

FMV Plate Bill Introduced in Illinois

When I tried to do mine in July when I bought the truck, my local DMV had no idea that plates existed for former MVs.. They kept trying to give me commercial plates for $550ish per year. So I contacted the guy I bought my truck from (a member here) and he provided me with Dan McGaths info. Dan...

Can a PPV be Deleted on a M939?

I know that I need to wait for a certain pressure, so I don't need the valve. If I ever sell the truck I will install the new one before doing so. Since this truck is my daily driver I am trying to eliminate some of the weak points that fail easily or cause problems. With the cold weather that...

Can a PPV be Deleted on a M939?

Can those that have deleted their PPV's post up a picture or two? I am scratching my head a little on how to do this.. The PPV has 2 ports that are 90 degrees apart. I can't just do regular NPT fittings.. I don't think those will work when trying to replace a component in between 2 components...

What have you done to your 5 ton this week?

Didn't do much today. Started the truck for the first time in about 5 or 6 days. Despite me draining the tanks religiously after every time I use the truck, the PPV valve still froze and was leaking air. The next day we have "decent" weather I will go out there and delete it from the system. I...

    M939 rops

Ha. I'll take a look again using that term. Just seems like I could only ever find in-cab roll cage pictures.

    M939 rops

So the other day I read through the rather lengthy "rops" thread, which discussed installing roll cages or other protecting devices in/on deuces. There were a lot of interesting points brought up. Some of the biggest factors were cost, difficulty, and the issue with fastening the roll cage to...

Bobbed my crew cab 5 ton

Looks sweet :) I'm curious though.. How do people get into the rear portion of the cab? Seems like they have to step a long way up to stand on the top of the toolbox, or on top of the fuel tank..

    M923A1 Heater

D*mn.. Maybe mine has the same issue. What was the temp gauge showing on your dash?

    M923A1 Heater

Awesome. I had never seen those for the M939 trucks. I'll have to look into that.

What have you done to your 5 ton this week?

Yup. That's the video I watched before I bought my 5 ton (he's actually a member here.)

Front bumper storage. Looking for ideas?

I'm very curious about your setup.. I love the idea of having a winch on my tractor, but I don't like how far they stick out on the M932's and others. Would it have been possible to do your winch setup, but with the bumper in the stock location? I'm not near my truck to take a look. I know that...

    M923A1 Heater

Mine has the same issue, though my truck is an A2. What does your temp gauge show after you have been driving for a while? Mine only starts to register temp by the time I reach work. That's 2 or 3 miles of driving, on top of 4 or 5 hours with the block heater operating.

What have you done to your 5 ton this week?

I believe that is the same fluid I used in my trans.. Really helped smooth out the shifts :)
