    Mrap seat w/highback seat base?

Which MRAP seats? There are a couple types out there... My BAE MRAP seat type I mentioned here was a direct bolt on to the factory high back driver's base if you don't mind having two front/back slider mechanisms, one on the seat and one on the base. Was really surprised to see that... If you...

4 man cargo cover bows dimensions?

I'm going to beat Daniel to the punch because I just took my tops off the truck yesterday with the warm weather finally here to stay. My cargo cover kit is the newest style GMA top. The older styles may differ. Near as I can tell both of my bows are the exact same with no real pronounced apex...

Front suspension sag, 10k half shafts

Have you considered spring spacers? There is a seller on eBay selling 2" kits (front or rear) for $100. I know someone on here who installed that kit up front to fix his suspension sag and he's pretty happy with it. Said it rides well. I saw the pics of his truck and it leveled it out quite...

    Fording exhaust fender bracket.

If I recall correctly, Lawdog had the same issue with his stack he bought for his slantback. He had his trimmed down and was able to use it anyway. You might want to message him for details. I imagine an exhaust shop should be able to do it no problem though. If the seller didn't mention that...

Go out and give it a few tries on your truck! Should fire right up! You'll see... When you get back we can play a fun wager game I know. :p

    How to pull-start a HMMWV...

rofl A new crowd stunning trick to add! So many people already think it floats, I've considered adding one of these since I've got a receiver hitch and telling everyone about my PTO driven propeller. :naner:

    Fording exhaust fender bracket.

I think I may have just gotten the last one he had a couple weeks ago... Check anyway though! ETA: If no one else on here has one, I believe Mac Motors had a couple in stock for new, retail price though. ETA2: Just looked. 0 stock on part 12339848 unfortunately.

    Humvees sold/remaining to be sold

Well... I know someone (not local) who bought one and can tell you two things. 1) It looks awesome! 2) I'm jealous. That's all I got...

M998 soft doors - repair or replace?

Here's the YouTube vid I found most useful: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=k40kKKCGyac And even though the thread is easy to take out and redo, before you experiment on the door, I'd try a couple pieces of scrap fabric.

M998 soft doors - repair or replace?

My doors were not in great shape when I got my truck but, with a little work, you'd be surprised at how you can resurrect them. Most of the windows had broken stitching as well as some of the skin edges where they wrap around the frame, the windows were hazy, and the color was dingy and poor...

Hmmwv shopping, have a few questions

Basically if it's an M998 or M1038, A0 or A1, there's a near certainty that it was originally sold for off road use only. This also includes the old Atlanta auction HMMWVs which had off road branded bills of sale. I saw a picture of one of those someone posted somewhere but, didn't think to save...

Options for replacing cushions in M998

You're right about that! I was more familiar with Oregon Aero because of their ACH/MICH helmet pad upgrade sets. A bit pricey if you're buying them on your own but just about a must have for those helmets if you're going to wear them for any length of time. Didn't know they did seat cushions...

    HMMWV paint selection

Like jake, I'm going the Sherwin Williams CARC route. I picked it up early last year but just ran out of time and energy to paint before the weather got cold. I decided to go that route for the same reasons. It's a durable paint. Also after talking with jake and what he learned about it, you...

Hmmwv shopping, have a few questions

Your surest bet is to buy one of the newest USMC M1123s or M1045s that's come from GP with a non-branded title. But that's no guarantee either. Some places are painting all HMMWVs with the same brush (as is the respective states' prerogative) and not allowing street use. Just see MaverickH1's...

    1989 M998 6.2 Strange Stalling Issue

If you've got to replace it, I'd just go with the S3. Some nice features and improvements the "dumb" boxes don't come with. My green label KDS hiccuped on me once (glow plugs didn't fire a couple times) and started working again but, I took the opportunity to upgrade to an S3 with no...

I purchased LED directional signal lights, and then I remembered....

Basically, if you've got the Nartron flasher in your truck you'll need to replace the lever indicator bulb with an LED for it to work correctly with all LED lights. The other 3 types should work fine with the LED lights regardless of if the bulb in your lever indicator is an incan. My truck...

I purchased LED directional signal lights, and then I remembered....

Depending on your setup, you should be able to make the one you have work. http://www.steelsoldiers.com/showthread.php?164591-turn-signal-marker-light-problem&p=1975246&viewfull=1#post1975246 You even posted to that thread.

The same people who write about "high powered rifles". I've looked and looked but I've yet to find a low powered rifle. :(

    New Member & New Truck

New ones on the left are helical cut and are supposed to run quieter and keep the truck from rocking on stop. Original design on the right. Personally, like Bravojmc said, I like it since it's unique to these trucks.
