Have M1009 w/27 Gal Cell. Have been blending fuel without problems so far. Once fuel system has been totally gone through. Why not take it up a notch? The Power Pack seems to like compressing most combustables. WILL filter filter filter!
Thank you all very much for coaching me. Have never been down this trail.
Have removed IP without dropping fastners into Pan. That would have been ugly.
Now to bring IP back to oem specs. Hope these guys do a good job. Looked at TM's and there is no way I can build with my tools. Time...
Oh MY! Received Loud and Clear. Proceeding with caution.
Side note: Where aproximately in Novie are you. My family has property in your neck of woods. Will pm you with coordinates. DMLII sends...
No I have not. Was just looking at TM.
1. Remove three capscrews (1) and pump driven gear (2) from fuel injection pump (5).
2. Remove idle return spring (7) from throttle lever (6).
3. Remove three nuts (8) and washers (9) from fuel injection pump (5) and timing gear cover (3).
4. Remove two...
Removed all three nuts and IP does not want to come off? Will come away from mount a liitle ways then will not come back any further. Seems like it is free and loose. Can easily rotate. Rather not pry and beat on it. Am I missing something.

Thought it would be a good time to become VERY friendly with TM regarding installation procedure for IP. Cannot find it anywhere. Could somebody point me in right direction. Which TM/section? Thanks, DMLII sends....

Do I need to line up Witness Marks before I remove IP? Diving...
All I have heard here is go SS. Was thinking of trying Viton myself. Wonder how it would react to WVO?
Worked on Beast till 21:00 last night. Gut is tight as Drum. Couple Fastners harder to get than I thought. Much Plumbing and more in way of Intake Manifold removal. Hope to have all...

Reason for Fuel System Overhaul.
IP leaking and poor fuel mpg. Starts up fine then drops fuel prime. Really hard to get going again. Want to start running WMO/WVO. So all...
To ensure accuracy it should be calibrated from time to time. An old Machinist taught me a long time ago. Make sure to unload your Torque Wrench when finished using. People have a nasty habbit of puting them away loaded. That WILL make them innacurate! So, I always unload completely and set...
Mainsail, thanks for all your posts. Nice to see all you have done.
Why install the Solargizer? Seems like many are doing this MOD for GP? Your thoughts... DMLII sends ....
Instead of Sanding Landings. Just a suggestion. Try liberal coats on all connections w/Burndy Penetrox A-13. Introduce with acid brush. Trust me, you will be very happy with results2cents
My M1009 Starter Relay was acting up in cold damp conditions. So I decided to do the modification. Have not had an issue since. Thank you very much for support SSer's. Special thanks to Doghead for all R&D! 2centsGave me an excuse to rebuild Instrument Cluster while I was there. All good...
Miss Kerry Ann,
My M1009 is more dependable than both my modern vehicles. Always some error code popping up on both. M1009 has no errors. It is an older vehicle so PM is a must. Watch her like a Hawk!
Use as daily commuter on Norcal Highways everyday unless she is getting TLC. Which...
