    Google Sketchup Model

Are you saying to remove the front transfer case and replace it with a Brownie box? If so Does the brownie box act as an overdrive attached aft of the transmission?

    Google Sketchup Model

The Deuce was my first food truck. The project got out of hand and the truck ended up taller and longer than on paper. However, it all came together for the designed purpose. The Deuce stays out of the city area and more rural. With the 5 ton, I feel it can be a more stable and manueverable...

    Google Sketchup Model

I looked into an overdrive mod for the existing transmission but found lots of conflicting data. Also, the OD speeds that I read really weren't worth the price.

    Google Sketchup Model

Im satisfied with my Deuce setup, however the speed is an issue. I can top out at 40mph in my deuce which doesn't allow me to hit the interstate. I need to travel to festivals on a weekly basis. I rode in a 5ton last week and the speeds were 60 - 65mph. My 5ton sketchup has a 4 foot shorter...

    Turning Radius Question

I am researching for a project. I came across this TM that listed the turning radius of a M923 is 46 feet but the turning radius of the M925 is 31 feet. What am I missing here? Does the M925 come standard with rear steering? If not can you add rear steering to a tandem rear with super...

M35A3 Food Truck Finally Operational not complete

The drive shaft added 13 ft. Its an entire school bus plus the short shaft from the Deuce. This thing is going to sit on a Military base for the next 20 years. Drives 3 miles per day and thats a straight shot.

M35A3 Food Truck Finally Operational not complete

After seven long months, a fabrication buddy and I have made my Pizza food truck operational. Not the best picture in the world, I'm setting up a full marketing photoshoot later next month. I will custom build an attached ice chest with drawers where the ice chest's are currently on the...

Temperature gauge, sender, or water pump?

doghead I used an IR gun but did not know exactly where to shoot it? The engine block was about 180 "below the exhaust manifold", the top elbow of the thermostat housing was about 115-120, the lower radiator hose was about 115-120, the radiator was about 95 deg in all 4 corners. I assumed...

Temperature gauge, sender, or water pump?

My Deuce water temp slowly rises to 230-240deg while sitting at idle. No steam or change in engine noise. I replaced the thermostat with a 190deg one. The issue wasn't resolved, I still sit at 230-240. I rinsed and flushed the radiator about 5 times and noticed that the water color was a...

    help with wheels and tires

To update my project. Construction is about 95% complete but the kitchen is functional. We had our first "soft opening" the other day and it was a very quick sell out I had to widen my base since the outer wheel width was 84" and my container was 96". I am probably the first person in history...

    help with wheels and tires

Thanks, Me and a welder buddy have been building it at his house out of a lean-to shed for the past 5 months. No special tools or equipment, just his basic metal home shop tools and the use of the neighbors forklift as needed. We have stuck to the original concept and overall plan but the...

    help with wheels and tires

I was thinking of going cheap and adding 4 new airbags without any fancy controllers. Just plain old bags that I manually fill from the air hose I tied into my CTIS tanks. Then level it out on flat ground fully loaded. The suspension width is just right but I need to take out the "give" or...

    help with wheels and tires

Quick update. I dualed the rear axles and replaced the 14.5x20 with New G272 MSA's 12.00x20 with tubes. The overall width from outside tire to outside tire is 96" and is much more stable. The bogie trunnion cap hasn't rubbed on the rear inside tires as of yet but I'm not too concerned since...
