dude ur supposed to mount the shoulder mount no more than 4" below ur shoulders cuz if u dont and u hit a big bump and the seat springs up quickly,it will compress ur spine. just a heads up man. seats look cool sounds like a cool project.:grd:
all the above ideasare good, but they take alot of time.and u wont be able to drive it in the mean time.
just return the ones u bought and do some research.
they make spacers with studs in them. ill try to find a website for ya.
id like that if it were a show truck.but not a mud truck.i like the stacks tho.[thumbzup]
if u look so good you should enter a pagent.:mrgreen:perdy boy
if u weld on some more frame and bolt an 8"x12" or so steel plate over the weld it should be plenty strong.the bed isnt heavy enough to put stress on the frame.as far as pullin something behind the truck, if he does it right, it should have no problem. my dad fixed an 18wheeler frame that snaped...
if it were me,in my opinion, i would just use the stock power steering for the front axle and use hydro steering in the rear and control it by a switch since u wont be using it as much as the front.
thats how most rock crawlers are.they only use rear steer when they need to get out of a tight...
i believe it is airshift because neither the brakes or the transfer case worked when i got it,no pressure in the tanks,no buzzer noise..nothin:confused: and it alomst caught on fire. they rig'd all the wiring for the sirens and stuff they had in it.
thats why i made it a donor deuce.any idea...
look at my thread.some good info on cheap ways to do 4ws.http://www.steelsoldiers.com/deuce-modification-hot-rodding/37652-4-wheel-steering-deuce-anyone-done.html:grd:
if u want to see a pic of the donor deuce look on my profile
maybe someone with a fast internet can post them up on here (hint)
it took me about 12min. to download those pics.actually more like 20
