All of the connection are good except the gen 2 connections. I have tried to clean the spot where the light goes with a pencil eraser with no luck. I do not know how to fix the corroded ribbon wire.

Recently I noticed that my gen 2 light was not coming on before I started the truck. On closer inspection i noticed that i had lost my dash lights. I decided to pull the cluster and take a look. What is the best way to test the lights in the cluster while not being in the truck?

I had a battery go bad in my 86 m1008 so i bought a new one. My question is the other battery is a 31-1000 with 1000 cca and the new battery is a 27-2 with 810 cca. If i use the 2 together with it damage anything?

Why would the truck start right up after running?

I have a 86 m1008 that cranks very slow (like dead batteries) when you first turn the key. After turning the key after a minute or two it will crank fast enough to start. After it is warmed up it will start right up. The truck has good batteries, new battery cables,new positive starter cable...

They were tested April 4th 2015

The batteries were load tested. One was bad so it got replaced.

I did notice that the battery cables were heating up. I had both of the old batteries load tested, one good and one bad. I replaced the bad one.

They were fully charged when i started. One battery is brand new.

I have a 86 m1008 and was looking under it and saw this hose coming out of the rear differential. I don't know if the rest of the hose is missing or if it was never there. If it is all there and nothing is missing, what is the purpose of the hose?

When I turn my M1008 to the accessory position (before I start) only the Gen 1 light comes on. I have heard that they are both supposed to come on. Any ideas?
