There is a safety latch. I had driven about 6 or 7 miles from my house and I didn't see the hood moving around at all. All of a sudden it was wide open and visibility was a bit of a challenge. Pretty loud noise as well!

I don't think they are even coming out. It's Hagerty, collector's insurance. I can't believe I didn't latch the hood. Hagerty is pretty damn good. A few years ago I backed my 72 F350 camper special into the neighbor's brand new car. They didn't blink an eye and handled it without...
So, I had a minor mishap with my m35. The hood flew open at 55mph b/c I was a dumbass and didn't latch it. I have damage to the hood(obviously) hood hinges, roof, and both windows. I have full coverage insurance but I don't know if I can buy these parts new? If so, where can I find a NOS...
Interesting
I wasn't really thinking I had an issue with my heater but I looked at that diagram and mine was installed wrong. Moved it around and the truck actually warms up to 180 degrees and will do that around town and idling. Previously it wouldn't get warm unless you were running it on...
cold starting
I must be lucky. I have had 3 deuces and currently have two. All the trucks started fine down to -20 here in NW Iowa. Luckily, I haven't needed to try them any colder. Of the 3, 2 were/are N/A. The turbo truck starts fine too but not as quickly as the N/A's. The trucks sure...

Yeah, I really didn't take any. Forgot the camera for the trip. Then my help to unload showed up and I didn't want them to have to wait. It wasn't really that interesting really. It made it home no problem.
I did not really think about this until today when driving the truck. I don't drive very far really. Work is 6 miles away. That is basically as far as I ever have to go. The things doesn't even get to full operating temp in that distance with weather below 25 degrees. I think this is a...
Should I really be able to crank up the N/A's fuel enough to keep up with the turbo truck? I really don't even like the noise from the turbo but being able to take hills at 55 that would have put the N/A truck at 30mph is really nice. I am sure the bobbed truck does better partly due to the...
I forgot to mention, the clutch is harder and a bit "grabby' on the turbo bobber. Smooth and easy as can be on the N/A so that would be a little extra effort too...
I bought a super nice N/A duece w/w from Ranchopper. Nice truck, drove it home 450 miles. Really needs nothing except it's very slow. Can barely get to 55 on the flat.
I also bought a bobbed deuce last weekend. W/OW. Runs 60 pretty easy on 11.00 20 radials.
-Not as nice, a little rust...

Todd:
There have to be some closer to you. Look at Craigslist. I am headed over to Nebraska today to look at another one. He has quite a few I think.
Todd:
You following me? :) Compared to a Pinz, the duece is cheap. It's also more conventional. I love the Pinzs and hope you have had a lot of fun with yours. I just snagged a nice deuce a couple weeks ago. I have my K sold it looks like to be picked up next weekend. Give me a call...
Van
That's not what happened. I just loaded it up in the truck, strapped it down and drove the truck home. Pretty exciting. It turns out I don't really measure that well. The rear tires were in the bed, not on the tailgate. Not that exciting. That being said, it's still a long ways.
I am going to buy the 2 x12 at the lumberyard where I pick the truck up. I have the railroad tie block cut already to block it at the frame. When I say POS Astro van I really mean it. I will throw ratchet straps over the top and around the back to hold it in.
