    Good or bad idea...

I don't mean to be defensive. I was looking for constructive criticism with solutions rather than that what I was receiving which was big fat "NO"s with no suggestions except "find a buddy". I have moved on to action at this point and am cutting railroad ties to support the rear at the frame...

    Good or bad idea...

You guys really roll out the welcome wagon. My intention is to block it at the frame with the railroad tie blocks I just cut at the rear of the box and strap it down securely. The rear wheels will be just resting on the tailgate but the weight will be on the floor of the box rather than the...

WSU, do you have something you'd like to say?

    Good or bad idea...

Thanks for all the feedback. Some folks here need to get out and actually experience something before they say it can't be done and done safely. I wouldn't have asked if I didn't want to hear the answer but most of the no way answers appear to have no idea if it would work or not. I'll take...

Options I will examine my options. I will make a safe decision. There is evidently not much in the way of information on the capacity of the tailgate. I use my noodle every day to get 200 foot towers raised out in the middle of nowhere. I can figure it out.

    Good or bad idea...

Am I not saying this right? I measured the van and the rear wheels will be on the tailgate. i recognize the tailgate will not close. I am fine with that if the tailgate will support the weight of the van.

    Good or bad idea...

geez oh petes. Tell me about the tailgate. I am unconcerned about the truck or myself making it home. I have done way longer trips than this and can fix whatever happens with tools or a credit card. I just want to hear about the tailgate weight capacity mostly.

    Good or bad idea...

let me clarify I am not concerned about the deuce and it making it here. the only thing I am asking is if the tailgate can take the weight really. I was considering some 14 foot long 2 x12 or something to drive the van on to keep some of the weight forward of the tailgate. Obviously the...

    Good or bad idea...

So, I bought a deuce about 425 miles from here. Going to drive it home. I want to drive my POS astro cargo van over to the deuce and put the van in the rear of the deuce for the trip home. It appears that the rear tires of the van will be on the tailgate. How can I make this work safely...

A question for people with M37 and bobbed deuce.

M37 So, will putting on a muffler be a problem? I can't stand the noise and I don't care for the stack there in my field of vision when I have the windshield down in addition to the diesel smoke wisping into my eyes, etc when stopped...

A question for people with M37 and bobbed deuce.

I was reading Bryan S.'s post on lusting after a bobbed deuce. I have considered a diesel swap into my m37 for a long time. It runs and drives great with the flathead. I have also considered just bobbing a nice deuce for the diesel instead as the deuce looks like a HUGE m37 when bobbed. So...
