Wasn't bad at all, BUT I had the use of our overhead crane at the shop I work at. That changes everything for me and my buddy that helped me. I also had access to a big forklift to move it afterwards.
The only problem I have is everybody bugging everywhere I go wanting to buy it!!!!:-D Guess that is a good problem to have, getting it more and more the way I want it.
Thanks, man. I thought about building but I ended up having it installed down in Smyrna, Ga. Has a gooseneck and a receiver hitch, wanted them built right!!:-)
Here's my truck after I made a few changes. Banks turbo, took off the contact bed and replaced it with a flatbed. I know some of you will not care for me changing, but I like it much better now. :-)
I bought my M1031 from a used car dealer, he had already done the title work and he transferred the title into my name at purchase time. Took about 2 weeks for title to get to me in my name. One reason I was happy to go through a dealer. However, I have been looking at a M1009 at another car...
Not trying to be smart-a** what exactly is a "racetrack adapter" I am very interested in an overdrive tranny for my M1031 as it kills me to run 55 or 60- all the time>:x
The clamp on the downpipe junction touches the frame, very tight right there. Heck to get a wrench on, thank God for ratceting wrenches!!! Doesn't touch the 205, about an inch away. :D
