    Largest battery combinations? M1028

Situational awareness my man. Look closer (at the bright orange power cable), it's actually in the middle of the day at 8 degrees F in that picture, but the block heater is plugged in so the snow is melting on the hood and immediately freezing. That's impressive that your truck doesn't have...

    Largest battery combinations? M1028

How much did yours cost? Right now best I can find is almost $600 for AGM each, so $1200k for batteries total. https://www.powerstridebattery.com/odyssey-pc2250st-heavy-duty-commercial-battery-pc2250mt-marine-battery

    Largest battery combinations? M1028

Because it is not always parked at my house plugged in, and I don't always have time to plug it in and wait 2-4 hours to try and start it. We hit negative temperatures here and it really makes standard batteries struggle.

    About my new 1028

Compression test would be the first thing I did, no reason to do anything to the engine if your going to have to pull the whole thing to do an overhaul, rebuild, or new engine entirely. If your getting significant blow-by just running off the starter motor then I would be willing to bet the...

    Largest battery combinations? M1028

That was the answer I was hoping for anyway. 2 6TL's have more CCA and reserve than 4 31-34s anyway, plus their service life is a *LOT* longer.

    Largest battery combinations? M1028

My batteries are toast, looking to buy a set of new ones. I know most people use group 31 or group 34 batteries which easily fit on the battery trays. My question is will military 6T style batteries fit the trays? Looking at their design I am almost willing to bet that it's what they come with...

Checked, 1.3 to 1.6 on all, so we are good there.

I was going to convert to 12v for ease of recovery, not to fix the issue, still need to redo the IP. I bought this truck for a work truck for a Veterans nonprofit organization, meaning it does need to be dead reliable, which from what I have read the 6.2 can provide, as long as you ditch some...

So, the fuel filter base has no leaks around the housing that I can tell, fuel appears to be leaking from the IP. Managed to kill the batteries and don't have two cars to jump it, new priority 1 is to convert it to 12V so that it can be reliably jumped and I can get rid of that resistor bank.

Note to self, editing the main post apparently removes it. Do the moderators have to approve each edit? If so I might as well just make separate threads for everything as that was what I was trying to avoid to reduce both our workloads.

Thanks all. Going to track down and fix the fuel leak tomorrow if the parts are readily available. Changed the oil yesterday since the previous owner said "I don't know" when asked when the oil was last changed. Going to check the glow plugs today. Also had the Gen 1 light flash at me today...

Hello everyone, I am just posting this thread up so that I can keep track of issues related to my new to me (2 days old) CUCV and ask for help without making a ton of threads. If you read about an issue and it doesn't have "solved" next to it in the list I have below I still need help either...
