To get my HMMWV (M1097A2) in good running order... need help.

I have never heard a louder percussion group than when I’m driving my HMMWV’s. Puts Bonzo Bonnam and Neil Pert to shame.

    *1990 M998A0 Refresh*

Before you post asking questions, you should also post things including what you have done and what you have not done and what you know and what you don’t know. It is very helpful information to know that you have not properly aligned the transmission shifter and the transfer case shifter. That...

m998 Solenoid Wire ( 74A ) Hot All The Time

If you have a keyed ignition, it has failed. Aftermarket keyed ignitions fail and can fuse in the “start” position. Alternatively might be a PCB issue. You can rebuild the protective control box with the posted plans...

Has anyone gutted a N3135 regulator?

Just received a bad 200Amp regulator from Beltfed34 Austin. Gonna start dissecting it. Trip to Commiefornia to finish work on the M1165 will interrupt.

So in other words there are two different castings. 🤡 I bought my truck from you… the body lift was and is perfect.

    Steelsoldiers’ BIG M1152A1 HMMWV Project!!

Later this week I go to Commiefornia to work on my M1165. I will be making an Aluminum support to hold generic oil and tranny fluid and power steering fluid coolers. I’ll post pics when the time comes No way I’m willing to spend $800-1000 for something I can redesign and build better for...

    M1151A1 HMMWV plenum crossover removal

There are two crossover sizes, as per Mogman’s prior post. The GEP is smaller. Tight on my ECV, but not problematic. Not sure if they are interchangeable BUT if they are you could consider swapping. Best, T

    Steelsoldiers’ BIG M1152A1 HMMWV Project!!

I also thought about fixing BUT my fear with fixing is that the part is weakened and will leak from somewhere else. I plan on camping in the desert off the grid with this rig. I would prefer not to become a statistic. Oil and tranny fluid is not caustic… why do these damned things develop leaks???

    Steelsoldiers’ BIG M1152A1 HMMWV Project!!

I have the same issue. I’m thinking of using Ford F350 oil coolers to reduce the costs of replacement. I’m not driving a 24000 lb vehicle through the desert so I don’t need super crazy heat radiation. I’m not forking over $1000 for what should be a $250-400 part.

current Rhino/Rico spare tire carrier value?

Andyrv6av8r made one… Post 4048 “what have you done lately” thread. 4051 has his partial parts list. He posted elsewhere regarding his build BUT it is eluding me. I just woke up and I’m still rubbing the sleep from my eyes...

current Rhino/Rico spare tire carrier value?

Yes. A member here made one and posted the design and the results. He was happy with what he made.

M1123 not running smooth starve to fuel.

A lot of reasons here. It is possible your lift pump has failed. It is possible to check valves are giving you trouble. If the problem goes away when you have a full tank of fuel, it is most likely the lift pump.

What have you done to your HMMWV today/lately

Air intake my friend. I might disassemble and clean that system.
