its a 2 wire load, L0 is not connected, so you would always read the same current on L1 as L3. I'm wondering if its tripping because it has no common or ground.

Running a 17.5A load (clamp on Fluke) for an hour or so trips overload, it also shows 125% on the load meter, were using an electric heat fan rated for 4800W to load test the gen sets, anyone know why this would trip? since the set is rated for 26A it shouldn't trip overload with just a 17A...

use Excide or Deka batteries, these are the ones the military uses, some batteries do not work well with the charging system, I have found that walmart batteries will overcharge and not last long. Tractor Supply has the Excide 51 and 51R in stock usually.

I have a broken MEP-802a fuel sending unit, part #88-21162-1 Does anyone know of a cross reference for this? or a part that will work? I have been unable to find one. The 803a and 002a have different tanks so those would not work.

Anyone know what the cross ref numbers are for the air filter, it appears its different from the 002 and 003 units. I also need a fuel cap, 24V auxiliary cap, and the end cap for the air cleaner assembly if anyone has these parts.

I have an MEP-002A that I just replaced the regulator on because I have a 320V output, and its still the same, checked all wires (I'm a tech and work on these all the time), checked to make sure i had no loose connections on the bus bars, control box plugs etc... everything seems ok, voltage...

on the right side of the voltage regulator board are 2 output transistors, transistors can have intermittent problems as they heat up from use, if these are failing this may be the cause. They are easy to replace if you can solder, and can usually be found on e-bay etc.

yes, louvers are opening, thank you for the info on the oil tube, we'll open it up and check it this weekend. The valves are definitely louder than other units, this is why we know the oil is not getting there... plus the oil was not heating up... the gasket may be the culprit as my mechanic...

its not air flow, oil is not getting to the top of the engine. They are air cooled yes, but they are also oil cooled using an oil cooler, which is 100% clear, you can feel the air cleanly flowing over the entire engine, and we have had all the covers off when we rebuilt the injectors.

new glo plugs, and checked they are getting voltage, and getting hot. I'm going to try pulling all the fuel out, just in case something got in it, just can't imagine what else it could be.
