I have a parts truck with the antenna mounts. I was thinking about putting them on one of my other trucks. I haven't decided yet. I'm not sure what they are worth. There is also a plate that mounts inside the bed side so the bolts for the bracket don't pull through or distort the bed.
Skinny is correct. I forgot that the NV4500 Won't work with the 203 transfer case. Would have to use a 241 or 205 transfer case. And then somehow but locking hubs on front axle. Magnum 5.9(360) flywheel is different then the 71-92 360 LA flywheel also. They are both external balance engines...
I highly doubt its a M880. For one they all had Automatics. The Government bought other trucks besides the M880's. They bought plenty of club cab and crew cab trucks but none of them have a M designation.
The quickest way to get more power is from a 360 but this requires a 360 flywheel and...
You would need a big block transmission. Bell housings are not removable. Also need truck oil pan and big block truck engine mounts and exhaust manifolds. Check out this site for conversion parts http://www.bpeusa.com/BPEtruckKit.asp
Cast crank 400's and 440's do use an external balance...
http://www.factorymoparparts.com/4240277.html This is where I got mine. This is a newer part that superceded the old part. The nipples are in different dirrection but with longer hoses it works just fine.
I'll add that I made the mistake buying a complete parts truck just for the sending...
I highly doubt it has anything to do with the transmission. If it was the torque converter you would notice it jerking while driving too. When a engine stalls when put into gear it is too lean. Carburetors are complex in that they have multiple circuits in how they operate depending on...
By pass the factory amp gauge. I did and did the wiring changes per madelectrical website and eliminated most of the wiring problems I had with my truck. The other problems being bad grounds.
I did the amp meter bypass conversion on madelectrical.com. That helped with alot of electrical problems. Lights are much brighter and don't have the problems with turn signals not wanting to work part of the time.
Horseshoe thing is just part of the casting. I believe it was used for sand removal and has no function. I personally haven't had any luck with those type of gaskets from Mr. Gasket. I would just get the metal shim type made by Felpro.
